Looking forward to Cleeve Poetry Club (Gloucestershire Stanza) tonight. We’ll be considering four more poems from The Forward Anthology 2025, sharing our own work written since the last meeting, drafting new poems & enjoying some seasonal eats & drinks. DM me if you’d like to join us in 2025.

Super Cheltenham Poetry Society ( Gloucestershire Stanza) workshop last night, including poems from Michael Newman, Sheila Spence, David Ashbee, Nick Heap, Robin Gilbert, Roger Turner … oh, and me.

Submission Possible! Carrie and Ingrid led a wonderfully constructive three hour session on-line yesterday. I brought order to my backlog of poems, prioritised, refiled and prepared them for public exposure. Time well spent. Thanks Carrie and Ingrid! @carrieetter.bsky.social

Poetry isn't all about getting published. It isn't how many subs you've sent. It isn't about being 'recognised.' It's about the words, the joy. It's about understanding & forever changing the world around you. It's about celebrating each other's courage to form something on the page #poetsonbluesky

The Stanza group I lead takes the form of fortnightly workshops, focusing on poems from The Forward Book of Poetry 2025. We read, write, feed back on our own poems and consider outlets for our work. DM me for dates/times/venue (Cheltenham area). Thanks to The Forward Book of Poetry 2025.
