"Fear is the way that they win... keep expressing yourself and keep fighting to be who you are. "Fuck the people that try to make you scared, you know? "And fight back. This is the perfect way to do so in telling stories. "And don’t let them win." variety.com/2025/film/fe...

Wishing former President Biden the best with his battle against prostate cancer. Hoping for a full recovery. www.thestar.com/news/world/u...

As many of you know, this day means a lot to our family. It means a lot to many families. Hate has been weaponized by politicians against vulnerable minorities. We stop it by standing up and speaking out.

We found a good smell to bring home with us…

Expelling people for "dissent," quashing amendments before they've been tabled, made-up processes that aren't in party constitution... these are the things I was watching out for. The party will either get more democratic or fall further into the grip of the Higgs/Trump acolytes who've hijacked it.

New Brunswick PCs will vote later this month on changes to their party constitution that echo the internal feuds of the last two years: www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

The NB Legislature sits again this week, starting today at 1pm ADT! If you want to listen live or after the fact, you can always find the latest recordings online here: www.legnb.ca/en/webcasts (aussi disponible en français).

The PCNB has been holding riding association meetings to "vote on whether our riding will support or not support each individual constitutional amendment that is being proposed for the upcoming PCNB Special Meeting" on May 24 in Moncton. Does anyone know what amendments are being proposed?

Another recount gives Carney's Liberals one more seat - *by ONE VOTE!* - making his seat count now 170. That's two short of a majority. www.thestar.com/politics/fed...

If there was a referendum: • 58-60% of AB/SK would vote to stay in Canada. • About a third would vote to leave. But, 72-78% of them would change their mind if CPC had won the election. • Both provinces split on whether to even have a referendum. NEW POLL - bit.ly/3GYLWot

Kudos to Mental Health and Addictions minister Rob McKee for sharing his personal story in the Leg as part of Mental Health Week 2025. This year's theme is removing stigma of mental health/addictions by "unmasking" them. Min. McKee is setting a great example today. cmha.ca/mental-healt...

This question in Question Period earlier today was one for the books... It's a colouring book, but it's still a book, I suppose.

Do you know who maybe could have won for CPC last night? Charest, who was 2nd place in the CPC leadership race with 16% (PP won 71%). CPC chose the guy who used populism, division, & demonizing the "woke"..., just like Trump. It was Trump's playbook, and Canada rejected it. PP must pay the price.

No matter what gains happened last night, Canadians rejected Pierre Poilievre and Jenni Byrne - including their social conservatism and divisive rhetoric. They shot their shot, and lost a race that they should have easily won. It's time to step aside and to renew that party.

Miramichi-Grand Lake is a total coin toss at this point

CBC calls it for the Libs as of 11:11pm ADT. The decision desk doesn't see a way back for the Conservatives.

Hi, I'm going to jump on with the True North Eager Beaver podcast for 30 mins to talk politics at 8:45pm ADT, join if you wish! www.youtube.com/live/I-V9MpQ...

Latest NB predictions from Canada338: • Liberals safe - 4 • Liberals likely - 2 • Toss up - 1 • CPC safe - 0 • CPC likely - 2 • CPC leaning - 1

My heart and condolences go out to the Filipino community in Vancouver and across Canada. This is an attack against a minority immigrant community which needs to be investigated fully and punished to the fullest extent of the law.

🚨NEW POLL - Latest Leger poll is consistent with yesterday's Angus Reid poll, showing Libs are ahead. Full results here - leger360.com/wp-content/u... Polls are not votes though, and many CPC supporters expected to vote on Monday.

🚨 NEW POLL from Angus Reid: Advance voters favour Liberals 46% to 34% CPC. Monday voters mostly split evenly between CPC and Libs. Currently, overall vote intention slightly favours Libs (44%) over CPC (40%).

NB Power just released the results of its investigation of the billing rate hikes from earlier this year. Unsurprisingly, they are saying nothing different than they've already said -- the price of electricity went up and people used more electricity.

Wait, there's another looming postal strike on May 22?? www.thestar.com/business/can...

🚨 NEW POLL from Angus Reid: - Libs down slightly to 44%, CPC no change: 39%. - PP's favourability up slightly to 38%, unfavourables slightly down at 58%. - Carney stable at 54%.

His Holiness Pope Francis, rest in peace.

FYI, Mark Carney is planning to be in New Brunswick on Monday, and planning an event for Monday night. Details are still TBD.

My quick English debate summary? Everyone did fine, no minds changed, no votes moved.

94% of people voting CPC are fairly/very committed, and 93% for the Liberals. Only 6% of those pools have votes potentially up for grabs, according to a new Angus Reid poll - angusreid.org/election-45-...

My friend Vicki is doing her 22nd Walk and Roll for Muscular Dystrophy. If you can donate to help her meet her fundraising goal, it would be very helpful and greatly appreciated. Any amount helps! Thanks muscle.akaraisin.com/ui/WalkRollM...

Surprised/pleased by the French debate. I would grade MC & PP the same, each did well. PP aspired to be likable, and MC exceeded low expectations re: his French/Que knowledge. Biggest loser is Singh, focused on stunts/viral moments. Blanchet was relaxed/effective, but didn't gain many votes.
