Homer Spit, 11:30pm

I’m new to this neighborhood so I don’t know the local critters yet but some eagle has been bitching up a storm for the last half hour. #AlaskaLife

From the people who brought you Big Dog on a Little Bed, I present: Little Dog on a Big Bed

20 minutes to sunset

Mountains, bay, and the moon

The dog toys have arrived!

We have to teach Cas to walk on the sides of the road like a town doggie.

There was no good place to put it at my last house.

Guess who just learned she can still parade in front of the TV at the new place?

Crane landed on the neighbor’s roof

I knew they’d love the windows in this place.

First pics from the new place

One last nap in the sun before the madness of moving.

Sigh. Moving day. We will be moving things out for a while but last night was my last night in the house. If I could tear down my house and build a bigger one I would & stay here forever but alas, there’s very little building space.

This is a picture from a few years ago (out my kitchen window) of Ruby, one of the 2 cows that normally give birth on my bog. I haven’t seen her since fall. She always liked to nurse her calves just outside my kitchen.

Autocorrect just changed “a yak ranch in” to “an Albanian”.🙄

Tiny little love bite. (I found the right spot for skritches.)

Mama moose (Edwina) with her twins

Edwina and the twins, part 2 (Second calf can be seen momentarily through trees)

Edwina finally shows up with the twins.

I love our morning snuggles. Cas’s breath always smells like frosting.

Grrrr. My next door neighbor ONLY does construction during calving season.
