It's Christmas day in the US. 26th here in Taiwan. I've never had a problem being away from my blood kin at Christmas, but some do. My daughter was here and went back so she could be closer to her mother. Hugs to those who are missing being with family.

I'm an American living abroad. I pay 6% local tax. I get universal healthcare at a low cost, good roads, decent infrastructure, public educatino with free lunch for all- a bunch more all for 6%. Why can't the US do that?

I had a first grade classmate's older brother on a stretcher as he caught polio before the vaccine came out. And I remember someone coming to school, lining us up and giving us a vaccine. (That's the round scar on my shoulder). And all these anti-vaxers have never seen the effects of not gtng vaxed.
