I know for a fact the last version of the contract I signed didn’t have anything relating to AI in it, and that’s why I’m asking to have it added now. If the client already is beholden to laws against AI, it should make absolutely no difference to just write the same thing into my contract too.

I am very aware that the client may ultimately choose to recast me instead of accommodating me. But if I return to work without those protections, I am accepting the risk of AI use. I wish there was more I could share to prove the risk exists, but I can't without violating Confidentiality or NDA.
