Had a great time working for SRAM as a software engineering intern last summer. If you know the company, you're probably confused as to what a cycling company has to offer for a software engineering internship. You can read about it here: www.simho.xyz/blogs/my-exp...

One of very few with balls to protect this country

Always believed it was a matter of time for Google to catch up to OpenAI Gemini 2.5 Pro still beats the hell out of GPT4.1 in a long context

Hi @sentimentbot.bsky.social

How are people using their laptops on the plane? Economy seats provide 0 space between me and the laptop, it breaks my neck to even try. Even worse when the person in front of me pushes their seat back.

You know you're getting some real work done if you're still at your desk clenching your asshole instead having gone to the bathroom 10 minutes ago

Now I really fear for my residency in the US

I find it funny that people answer "That's a really good question" to questions they can't answer

Here's an idea - what if we had a non-profit health insurance company? Oh wait that's called universal healthcare

He's on the far right for sure

I feel like nobody talks about wezterm and I kind of get why It's so reliable and strictly adheres to the standards that it's boring (in a good way)

I wish there was a systematic way to enforce all conversations to be constructive and non-repetitive in a way that isn't biased I love the power of free speech but god there is so much garbage

I am free to stay!

Hey Google, stop responding to "Hey Krueger". Thanks

And it's not like the company isn't making profit here. They're targeting REASONABLE profit unlike Big Pharma. Crazy idea, I know.

Am I the only one who thinks Firefox sucks for web devs? It's consistently behind on so many browser features and APIs provided by two other more popular browsers. It's the new IE. GIVE ME VIEW TRANSITIONS API ITS BEEN YEARS caniuse.com?compare=chro...

> be born in a country > your life literally revolves around the politics, culture, and the socialeconomics of the country > you look like a citizen, act like a citizen, lived like a citizen > the president says you can't be a citizen because your parents were born elsewhere > mfw

If your platform is an unmoderated, truly free social media, then sure, I'm for allowing all kinds of speech. But as a heavily moderated platform, going back on policies against hate speech is just... weird.

Just learned about Verge's list of things Microsoft does to keep users on Edge and I can not imagine being the developers implementing these changes without cringing www.theverge.com/23935029/mic...

Gemini 2.0 Flash is kind of insane Been preferring it over GPT4o as of recently

I always complain about university lecturers being behind modern coding norms in their lectures or having weird/unnecessary requirements, but there's one thing I wish they'd go a step back - not using an IDE in intro to programming course.

Who are you? I'm not asking your name, nationality, age, biology, nor socioeconomic status. What do you believe, stand, and strive for? What are you doing to stay true to who you are?

An absolute essential in modern social media. Amazing work!

I was never skeptical about Honey because I thought their business model was selling consumer behavior data and 'advertising' in the form of promoting coupons (in turn bringing more sales for vendors). Never crossed my mind to steal by replacing affiliate cookies! It's genius in an immoral way.

Trust in the government declines -> people want the government to do less, since they are not trustworthy -> government does less -> trust declines further as the government actually becomes more incompetent -> people keep wanting the government to do less Feels like the world is in this cycle

Got a new phone and Twitter didn't transfer over for reasons Might keep it that way 🤔

I don't understand the point of cheerleading other than for men to be excited by attractive women dancing in front of them nor how they're relevant to the sports at all

I gained access to foo.bar years ago & solved two/three questions before asking myself what this was about I found out it's one of the ways Google hires I wasn't even in CS at the time, just learning dev on my own I decided to keep it on hold until I was confident to apply now it doesn't exist

There's quite the isolation of being: - the only person in my family that lives in the US - disassociated with Korean-amercian culture since I've only been here for 3-ish years - but also disassociated with native Korean culture because most of my teens were in Malaysia

Centralize power to maximize collective effort vs. decentralize power to promote competition and diversity
