If Trump ends the contempt power of judges with his “big, beautiful bill,” no one will be able to stop him. A future Congress would need the power of the courts to enforce their investigations, subpoenas, and laws. It would be the end of American democracy.

All foreign leaders should come to White House ready to be ambushed, and with a few weapons of their own to hand, eg videos of Jan 6th, court rulings certifying 2020 election, pictures of George Floyd’s murder, copies of Trump’s criminal record etc. Trump’s insulting of foreigners is insupportable.
