If you have one of these in your home, unplug it and take it to the nearest electronics recycling facility. No music player/kitchen timer is worth surrendering your privacy. #youarebeingwatched

Attorneys for the boy, his mother and 9-year-old sister said they are seeking asylum and were summarily arrested despite appearing for their scheduled immigration court hearing.

What the fuuuuuuuuuck www.wired.com/story/cbp-dn...

probably a good time to bring this back

The propaganda project that began with Reagan has been wildly successful.

i think cuomo did well considering he couldn’t campaign while the sun was up

If you are in line to not rank Andrew Cuomo, stay in line.

Federal traffic safety regulators are looking into suspected problems with Elon Musk's test run of self-driving "robotaxis" in Texas after videos on social media show a few of them braking suddenly or going straight through an intersection from a turning lane and driving down the wrong side of the r

So I’ve seen all of #IronHeart, and I really dug it. It has the unabashedly comic booky vibes of an Arrowverse show (the good ones) but with better production value. It covers an aspect of the Iron Man comics the movies never touched on, which is tech vs. magic. It’s a good time.

#Ironheart is delightful YAY

"It wasn't until she called the number the next day that she learned the police had called immigration agents on her. The officer who answered the phone told her that the police report noted that ICE had been contacted, and advised her not to make a report in person or risk being detained" 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Pretty amazing that a former president will sit quietly as one of his successors orders US troops into American cities and ships innocent people off to concentration camps—but feels compelled to speak up when a fellow HR nightmare is at risk of losing to another member of the same party.

Well that’s just fucking great

Evergreen since 1980.

Furious. Absolutely furious. And even more incensed than I was when we marched and protested during the freezing cold winter of 2002-2003.

It’s a good thing Congress isn’t alive to see this

ICE is a menace to society. Communities need to employ armed force to reinstitute peace and order in its presence. I am not a lawyer, but I've studied and worked in governance for most of my adult life. Regardless of what legal rights ICE thinks it has, cities do not have to accept such disruption.

Texas farmers hit hard as migrant workers avoid ICE

If you think it can’t happen here, remember that it already did. In 1942 soldiers came with rifles to our home and ordered us out. They put us in internment camps. Most of us were citizens.

1. Alert, and please share widely. A lawyer at the ACLU has asked me to inform my transgender readers that they should NOT be applying for passports right now - the state department has not issued guidance to comply with the court order and they are urgently trying to get them to do so. 🧵

NEW: Data shows that as of June 15, fully 30% of all people arrested by ICE and sent to detention had NO CRIMINAL RECORD. 11,763 people in detention as of last Sunday had no criminal record and were arrested inside the country by ICE -- an increase of 4,000 people in two weeks!

ICE arrested Job Garcia while he was running errands in LA. Job is a US citizen, a scholar, and a brilliant photographer. He’s also my friend. But none of that should determine his humanity. ICE must release Job Garcia immediately.

“Americans are being forced to accept masked paramilitary forces stopping you anytime, anywhere—demanding to know where people are from,” says @chrislhayes.bsky.social. “It is an assault on the idea of America itself.”

Dude.

Stop Forcing A.I. Into Every Fucking Thing!

Multiple Little Lobbyists families traveled to Washington, D.C., from across the country (Maggie and David traveled all the way from Alaska!) to deliver a simple message to their U.S. Senators: DO NOT CUT A SINGLE DIME OFF #Medicaid! Story via @nytimes.com #ProtectMedicaid

@littlelobbyists.com was instrumental in saving Medicaid in 2017. Let’s make sure they aren’t fighting this battle alone. Pediatricians see you and are fighting along with you! We need EVERYONE to contact your Senators on behalf of kids. Congress must protect children and #ProtectMedicaid.

🚨🚨The White House is pissed off about this ad so you know what to do, share it everywhere! ICE is disappearing people just because of the color of their skin! No Warrant! No Due Process! This is not who we are as Americans! #MAGAKidnappers want an all white America, fuck that‼️

At least one in five of the men currently being held captive in El Salvador were legal immigrants to the United States. Not just not "THE WORST OF THE WORST." Literally people who did nothing wrong. That's life without due process.

I know my colleagues already dropped this line (h/t: @brendanvduke.bsky.social ), but it bears repeating - there already exists a rural hospital fund and it is called: 🚨🚨MEDICAID🚨🚨 www.politico.com/live-updates...

ICE agents surrounded him before allegedly forcing him to the ground and taking him away in handcuffs, his wife told Newsweek.

So @whitneycwimbish.bsky.social did a writeup of Brad Lander's arrest today at 26 Federal Plaza in NYC, focusing not just on Lander's treatment, but the treatment of immigrants inside, both in the courtroom and once they are detained. prospect.org/justice/2025...

If I hated this anymore my head would explode: One of the first things that's actually made me seriously consider leaving this godforsaken state. I can't believe they're just going to let the oil companies poison the rivers/water supply. Nobody wants fracking water coming out of their faucets.

How do we get dissenting CDC scientists in league with some folks from Adult Swim

New — This banner was displayed outside FEMA headquarters in DC this morning by people wearing Greenpeace shirts, presumably in response to agency leadership canceling its strategic four-year hurricane response plan. The banner has since been taken down. (Shared with me by witness.)

Standing up for human rights and due process is not a crime. Asking to see a warrant is not a crime. ICE's unjustified arrest of NYC Comptroller Brad Lander was an abuse of power and unnecessary escalation of force. People can see through the Trump Administration's lies.

The protests have to mark the beginning of a larger democratic movement. We can’t expect authoritarians or the wealth class to simply give up. We have an incredible fight ahead of us, but the feeling of mass action and solidarity can keep us going. jaredyatessexton.substack.com/p/no-kings-h...

This is unfathomably shameful. How do we even have to debate this? Why would anyone ever again be so foolish as to trust or help the United States if this is how we treat people who risk their lives on our behalf?

eric has excellent news in the quoted post! progress on killing the trans healthcare coverage bans in the GOP budget. but pressure still needs to be applied! the link below contains call/email templates with reference to the legislative mechanism senators could use to kill this part of the bill.🧵

We rose this weekend and we’re not bowing anytime soon. #NoKings
