Missed it first time around, ‘Showstoppers’, on iPlayer with the lovely Gary Wilmot is delightful. Title made me think @ruthbratt.bsky.social may have been in it, sadly not. Gary has a great episode on @fentonstevens.bsky.social ‘My Time Capsule’

The delightful comedian and voice artist, @LizGuterbock, is my guest on My Time Capsule with the five things from her life she'd want in a time capsule? Guest number 490! Listen to this funny and very engaging performer, here pod.fo/e/2d2bb5

Great night at the theatre. David Hayman as lead. What a great story!

Yes, it's our 5th birthday! And to celebrate my son, who's also my producer, and I have made a special episode of five things from all the episodes of My Time Capsule we'd choose to have in their very own time capsule. Well, five each. Listen here pod.fo/e/2cc854 Cake anyone? 🎂

Somerset, sunset.

A very enjoyable morning sketching on the Shropshire Union canal near Telford’s Warehouse with Chester Urban Sketchers. Scroll to see my initial pen sketch (0.5 unipen fineliner) before I added watercolour. #telfordswarehouse #chester #urbansketchers #chesteruk @urbansketchers.bsky.social

@ronaldlaceyfans.bsky.social Hi Chelsea, is this a series you knew about? Apparently this is the only surviving episode www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXms...

TweedleDum, TweedleDee, and, Me (I’m the one in the middle)

@hildabaker.bsky.social just heard my new favourite malapropism on Nearest and Dearest “candlebrassiere” for candelabra, thank you for keeping her memory.

It’s been a gloriously sunny week in Chester! Take time to explore The Rows where you will find us and many more quirky independent shops in the heart of historic Chester. Galleries, antique shops, coffee shops and much more - is there a more perfect way to spend an afternoon? #artgallery #chester

My fantastically entertaining guest, Pippa Evans, chooses five very intimate things from her life to have in a time capsule on My Time Capsule. For a lovely hour, listen to the star of @TheShowstoppers and writer of the musical, Now That's What I Call A Musical, touring now, here pod.fo/e/2b84a4

Don’t often walk on my own. Today was a delight.

The multi-talented actor and improviser, @ruthbratt.bsky.social is my lovely guest on My Time Capsule. There aren't many people who are lucky enough to be happy with 'work' as the thing they treasure and would choose to have in a time capsule. Ruth is one of them! Available pod.fo/e/2b5ab5

The Cobb, Lyme Regis NOT Meryl Streep (Scene from the French Lieutenants woman was filmed here)

Urmston Beach today

Happy #worldbookday memories of my son Joe in my 1st picture book Jungle Joe. Published in the 1990s, this was a milestone for me as it was the first book where I was both author & illustrator. Inspired by Chester Zoo, I didn’t imagine it would be published as far away as Australia. Happy Days.

In celebration of #CheshireDay (March 30), this month’s Cheshire Life magazine features a selection of my paintings which capture different views of our county including Alderley Edge, Mollington and Chester. Browse many more at the Julie Colclough Gallery, Watergate Row, #Chester

Look out for this and more of my work in the March issue of Cheshire Life. ‘Mollington, Chester & Parkgate’ is one of a long series of #signpost paintings. Visit Watergate Row, #Chester to see my latest paintings and limited editions. #cheshirelife #mollington juliecolclough.com/chester-moll...

On the Beach (1958) not seen it for years. Similar theme to Threads. Impressed me all those years ago. Just, if not more, as poignant now.

Tomorrow I show my latest directorial efforts (four episodes of Coronation Street) to my producer. Keep ‘em crossed for me! 🙏🏻

There’s a story behind every painting and I’m delighted to see another #Liverpool Panoramic limited edition print go to customers who shared their own story and connections to the building. Visit our gallery on Watergate Row, #Chester to see more. More details : juliecolclough.com/liverpool

Browsing back through my picture library and came across this memory from 4 November 2023, enjoyable evening in the company of @reecedinsdale.bsky.social

Stockport air raid shelter today

Chester city centre - a Victorian letterbox contrasts with the painted electric box by Julie Colclough.

Travelling into Manchester today by train. Took this picture, which, to me, shows the old, regenerated, and new Manchester. Some, not all, change us for the better.

Intelligent film, dealing with how we recall, interpret, our own history. Casting is perfect. ‘The Sense of an Ending’ Netflix.

Now that’s a kite! Weymouth beach today.

Apparently the tallest spire in the UK. Even Russian assassins made a special trip to see it.

Bournemouth, paid for a sea view room. They said nothing about it actually being close to the sea
