While I am fine with a gui, I still find the command line to be a more concise & precise tool for interacting with a computer. I am glad that linux and bsd have fully featured CLI environments The other guys have poweshell too, I guess.

Utf-8 is really great. Binary log files are a total 0 for me. Looking at my *nix journey, you might see the point where I tried to avoid systemd. Keeping binary log files was one reason for that.

I see a problem. Politics and tribalism do not mix well. Replacing nuanced positions, compromise, and persuasion with loyalism based on a tribal identity is not good. Buying into it by pushing the other tribe away just makes them cling more closely together. This is the opposite of compromise.
