There is never a day goes by that something doesn’t happen to make us appreciate our lives in north east Scotland. Yesterday, for the first time since we moved here five years ago, we saw a pod of Orca in the bay by the house. Still feeling thrilled and humbled by the experience today. 😄👌

This handsome young man is Troy. He has two amazing guardians, Peter and Frances (Pablo and King King). Troy, much like #sophiefromromania is scared by the world. But, with patience and a bucket full of gentle kindness, he’s learning to feel safe. Big steps this week. Watch this space for more.

I’m not a fan of acronyms but I have one for fearful dogs. You’re looking for A.C.E. A=anticipation. You want them to anticipate good things happening. C=curiosity.. curiosity breeds resilience and confidence. E=expectation. They expect good things to happen not bad. ACE job Team #sophiefromromania
