Went for my first bike ride in a few weeks and remembered why i haven’t been biking. I got flipped off just for riding a bike and nearly right hooked by a driver w/o a blinker. We’ve got work to do.

New bike signal at West 29th Ave and Speer is live! I like it how it gives bikes a head start and then uses a yellow caution arrow for turning drivers instead of a green arrow.

Got honked at for taking too long to pass a cyclist in the pouring rain today. Guess what kind of car (black pick up truck 🙄) PSA: even if there is a bike lane you still have to give 4’ to pass!!

@bikepedantic.bsky.social "We did it Joe! We did it!" Just got to visit this project after it was completed over a year ago. Are there things I would do differently if I had it to do over? Yes, of course. Is this the best case scenario for the time when we did this? Yep.

This NYC law is just about the most insane thing I have ever heard of.

Fun 50 mile ride today out and around mass on some trails.

Every time I cross mass and Appleton I push the button to get a walk sign. And every time someone decides the traffic light is optional and just drives through. It’s crazy.

The nationwide adoption of right turns on red began in the U.S. during the 1970s oil crisis to conserve fuel. TRB's #TRNewsMagazine takes a look at the need for updated guidelines. buff.ly/DrI40Xz

get this shit outta here

It’s not that crazy to me how Boston drivers will ignore no turn on red signs, unfortunately. But it is crazy to see them turn left against red arrows. That’s wild and I can’t believe anyone would do that. Culture needs to change

Today I launched our campaign for re-election—because Boston families deserve a Mayor who fights for them. Here in Boston, we stand up. We fight. We win. And we show the world that when we work together, anything is possible. Head to michelleforboston.com to join us.

Had the pleasure of spraining my ankle on a wonderful Boston sidewalk last night on a run on Mass Avenue :/

Nice plans from Stantec and the town of Arlington to change intersections along Park Avenue for improved safety. Also separated bike lanes proposed for Park Avenue!

The red line really felt like it was back in its prime today. Trains every few minutes, but no bunching. Lots of riders too.

Unidentified men grabbing someone off the street and putting her in a car because she wrote an op-Ed. This as flatly authoritarian as anything we’ve seen in this country in a very long time.
