Taking a step away from the backyard project my Bird of the Day today is the Clapper Rail. Most days I see something or think of a reason to pick a particular bird and some days some days I pick a clapper rail. #itsabird 🪶

My Bird of the Day today is the Roseate Spoonbill. This one was jealous of a nearby cormorant and wanted to remind it that it can be on trees too. 🪶 #itsabird

Today my Bird of the Day is the European Robin. Got a few birds in my very brief time in Glasgow but this was in the best series of pictures I got there. Really loved Glasgow and could see myself spending much more time there. 🪶 #itsabird

Today my Bird of the Day is one of my favorites in the heron family. This Tricolored Heron had fishing success as we walked by. It managed a large Monday morning catch on the Laguna Madre coast. #itsabird 🪶

Today for my Bird of the Day I wanted something with some color and I recently realized it’s been some time since I’ve seen a Cedar Waxwing. A longtime bane bird for me where I would get close but never quite find them the Cedar Waxwings are now one of my favorites. 🪶 #itsabird

Today my Bird of the Day is the White-breasted Nuthatch. This one at one was at the MN Landscape Arboretum on a very busy Saturday and was delighted to show off its mastery of gravity. I suppose the risks are lower when flying is an option. 🪶 #itsabird
