Spent the weekend up at a cabin in the mountains with a handful of folks playing a marathon #Daggerheart dungeon crawl set in Age of Umbra. The whole group was gen-x'r old-schoolers, and everyone loved it and had a blast. Another win for the balanced 'middle way' approach of the game's design!

I’ve been doing a little bit of prep now that it’s fully out, Daggerheart is a really cool system on the GM side of things. Hope and Fear system is very cool. Design is slick. Resource system allows for really cool abilities that make players feel cool early. Now all that’s left is scheduling…

Played #DaggerHeart last night - I am absolutely in love with this system. Everything is so simple, but so well considered. My group ended up spending like 2 hours after the session just talking about all the things it does better than our staples of D&D and PF2E.

I didn't think much of rolling tokens with dice to represent modifiers like the Daggerheart book recommends but started playing with that concept and, wow, what a simple, yet helpful mechanism. I'm going to roll this way in Daggerheart and also in my D&D games. I've become a believer!

Whoever worked on the pdf of the Daggerheart rules deserves a raise. Everything is linked and bookmarked beautifully and I was shocked to find that if you hover over a piece of art, it gives you alt text descriptions of the artwork. They went the extra mile to get this right #daggerheart #ttrpg #dnd
