Give the dad in your life the gift of poetry this year. The poetry of ancient fires and tombs and faces emerging from stone. The poetry of electric longing and ecstatic necromancy and unspoken banjos. The poetry of rivers. Of every kind of river.

Not gonna lie, I'm a bit disappointed to see Tesla stock creeping back up

I don't identify as queer, but I do identify with queerness. I have a complicated relationship with gender and no wish to categorize it. Human identity is a spectrum in constant flux, and I have learned to embrace that from some of the best people I know. Happy pride. Be all the versions of you.

Well, he does know the voting machines better than anyone.

Nostalgia comes in waves carrying bits of music, sensation, faint aromas. When it recedes I am left with the sense that I haven't fully experienced a thing while it was happening. That all my life I have been watching water sink into sand along the tideline without ever seing the surf that brings it

The attractiveness of the "don't give a fuck" attitude is entirely contingent upon there being no real consequences for not giving said fuck.

😕 pretty much

The Venn diagram of people who say “pride is a sin and should not be celebrated this month” and people who cry at “I’m proud to be an American” is a circle

Just go on and sign me up for bingo.

There are just very few things in life as satisfying as a really good taco. This is not a political statement.

We’re launching a Kickstarter! We are so proud of what we have done as a small indie press so far, and we want to do more! If you can, check out our story and our rewards. And help us spread the word! #IndiePress #IndieBooks #QueerPress #BookSky

Support queer magic.

There are two kinds of Noah Kahan songs: those I absolutely love, and those I can't get through.

I've seen folks talk about how "in four years" they'll be able to get back to their planned projects and I really don't think that's going to work out. People & projects losing funding now will not be able to hit pause and come back once funding is restored. Hard-won progress & capacity will be lost

Pride was a riot.

I'm a big fan of well-fitting clothes. But the whole slim fit hoodie thing is an affront to the very nature of hoodies. They're *supposed* to be oversized. Anyway, how long till autumn?

I am thrilled to be supporting Damien Donnelly ( @eatthestorms.com ) for this online reading at North Bay Poetics. If you're unfamiliar with Damien's work on & off the page, you're seriously missing out. There's a reason @irishwriterscentre.bsky.social hired him. Now's your chance to learn it.

hi, cis folks! it’s pride. you with us? cool. have you called your senators about the budget bill that’s trying to strip trans healthcare from people of all ages on medicaid or ACA plans? that’s like 20% of us & this is the govt we’re up against. find reps here reps.fyi tap the thread for scripts

This is my top shelf. It consists of 1. Journals containing my work, and 2. Signed books.

Watch how they move. These are not trained officers. They are deputized civilians.

Jonathan Joss--voice actor of John Redcorn from King of the Hill, and Ken Hotate from Parks and Rec--was killed in a homophobic hate crime today. I'm so angry.

Kidnapping pro-Palestinian activists in the name of fighting antisemitism is a means of setting Jews up for blame, not keeping them safe. This regime is actively working to turn the country against the American Jewish population.

Yesterday, this piece was awarded the Jeffrey Hewitt Memorial Prize for a social commentary poem. I wrote it in Tuscany on my honeymoon the day after the election. We were at Tierra della Sidhe, a beautiful little chestnut and olive grove/guesthouse tucked into the folds of Monte Amiata.

Amy Sherman-Paladino is revisiting balet with Étoile and I am *here* for it. Bunheads was underrated and arguably mismarketed. It was far less niche than the promotions would imply. It was a human story, and ASP is damn good at telling those.

Got me an award from the Poetry Society of Virginia today. I'll share the poem tomorrow

no it’s actually because of the slavery

What could possibly go wrong

Jesus fucking Christ
