My husband was telling me about how his grandmother used to call soap operas her "programs." Then he said something surprising. "And she used to watch porn as well." I stopped and turned around. "Really? She watched porn?" Him, laughing: "No, I said she watched Lawrence Welk."

On this very day, TWENTY years ago, I wrote this at the end of a long journal entry. I was writing about how frustrating it was to date for so long and not find the right person for me. *Eight days later*, I met the man I’ve been spectacularly happily married to for 17 years. Don’t give up. ❤️
