On my commute home from work/school in the mid-90s, I used to doodle. Just unearthed my sketchbooks from this period, as I am packing to move. The Poetry is iffy, but the art has Shades of Bill Plimpton. I did find real love eventually, even if I did have to hold my breath for a while.

Saw this beautifully blooming tulip tree, sort of tucked away and not very appreciated in this little dugout area of a parking lot. Totally covered in blooms. I sat and just stared for a time, marveling at how each bloom was both singularly beautiful and yet imperfect. Just like us.
