Speaks volumes The system is broken

Governor Greg Abbot of #Texas is using the threat of defunding a children’s hospital to silence a doctor for simply exercising his freedom of speech.

please do not "test" this you rubes. it wants you to do that. it is challenging you "please give me text on which to train." you marks you fools you absolute turnip truck accident victims

Been rewatching Dragon Ball, my grandpa loved old school martial art movies, I wonder if he would’ve been into Dragon Ball. It definitely has that feel, if a bit fantastical.

Why do people will simple names think they have to spell it? “My name is Kyle k-y-l-e” oh…thanks I’m too damn stupid to spell fucking KYLE.

It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything from Margaret Chardiet’s project #Pharmakon. I remember in college listening to Pharmakon and other great artists from Sacred Bones Record and always buying Pharmakon’s LPs as soon as they dropped. #HarshNoise #PowerElectronics #IndustrialMusic

Tis the season for helpful posts about what food shelves need so here's my advice: If your kid's school is doing a Canned Food Drive or a movie theater is doing a special movie screening with a can of food in lieu of admission: give a can. Otherwise: JUST GIVE MONEY.

Monkfish 🐠 more like a 😉 catfish 😉 De aquatilibus (Of aquatic species), 1553 The image was based on an earlier written account not the author’s, Pierre Belon’s, own experience. The fish was said to have ‘a human head and face, similar to a monk's shaven head, while the body was covered in scales’

What the f*$k is this?? 😂

Meet Red Wolf Adeyha! Born in Wisconsin in 2014, Adeyha quickly moved to Illinois and then settled at the Museum of Life and Science in 2023. From there, the story reads like a fairytale: he fell in love, had kids, and then moved to a bigger "house" to support his growing family!

I love this, it looks like the entrance to some fairy’s home or a little gnome’s house.

I love when people put little notes in books and puts them in second hand bookstore books or free little libraries.

In order to facilitate speed during an amputation, operating tables were often set quite low. That way, the surgeon could use his body weight when bending over the patient to help saw through the muscle, tendons and bone. This one is from @oldoptheatre.bsky.social in London!

Not gonna lie: I'm a historian and I had no idea there was a second person on that plane. His name was Fred Noonan. We've all been a Fred at one point in our lives 😂

Hands up who does exactly this

I did some comic shopping, which I haven’t done in a while, mainly because I’ve been getting comics and graphic novels from the library. However, I do like to have a personal collection.

Having a library card is the BIGGEST green flag ✅
