Very much looking forward to the ChemBioChem and ChemPhysChem symposium "Advances in Structural Analysis of Biomolecules" in Berlin on October 23rd and 24th. If you are interested in the field, check out this conference: www.cbc-cpc2025.org (1/2)

Looking forward to the final @led3hub.bsky.social Lecture of this academic year! We already have a great program for next year in the works! Stay tuned!

We are about to finalize the program for this year's Virtual ChemBioTalks and we are very excited about the lineup we have been able to put together including our keynotes Craig Crews and Sarah O’Connor. Already mark your calendars for September 30th at 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. CEST! #ChemBio #ChemSky

Excited to be at VU Amsterdam to listen to the Nauta Lecture of György Keserű on "Covalent fragment approaches in drug discovery". He gave a great overview of his group`s many groundbreaking contributions to tool development for #DrugDiscovery and his newest work on photoactivatable fragments.(1/7)

Great @led3hub.bsky.social Lecture by Ed Tate. He talked about his group's work on better understanding and manipulating posttranslational modifications. Exciting insights into degrader development, genetic code expansion and drug discovery on lipidation pathways. #chemsky #ChemBio #DrugDiscovery

We are very happy that Ed Tate visited us today for a very well attended LED3 Lecture. He talked about his group's amazing work on using #Chemistry, #ChemBio and #DrugDiscovery to better understand the occurance and importance of posttranslational modifications in health and disease. #ChemSky

If you are a PhD or postdoc and want to present your exciting science, make sure to check out the abstract challenge to present a Flash Talk at the Virtual @chembiotalks.bsky.social on September 30th. #ChemBio #ChemSky #DrugDiscovery chemistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/hub/journal/...

What an amazing achievement for the @led3hub.bsky.social groups of Hermen Overkleeft and Hans Aerts. The compound nizubaglustat that originated in their lab has made it all the way to clinical phase 3 studies for Niemann-Pick disease and gangliosidoses.

Very much looking forward to presenting our work at NextGenChem@NL in Enschede on June 20th. If you are interested in diverse topics from chemistry, chemical engineering and physics and want to connect with many exciting scientists, consider to register for this event as well! nextgenchem.nl

Very excited that Ed Tate will visit us for a @led3hub.bsky.social Lecture on May 22nd and talk about cutting-edge #ChemBio and #chemoproteomics research in the field of #DrugDiscovery. If you are interested, feel free to come by! #ChemSky

We are looking forward to the LED3 Lecture of Ed Tate on May 22nd at 4 p.m. in the Gorlaeus building room CM1.26. He will talk about his research on "Targeting Post-translational Modification for Drug Discovery". If you are interested, come by: www.universiteitleiden.nl/en/science/l...

How do you present to mixed audiences? Marloes ten Kate gives 3 pointers, how to make communicating to a broad audience more efficient: - keep the beginning and end simple - find out, what all people in the audience have in common - identify, what you want to achieve www.linkedin.com/posts/marloe...

Want to be part of the 5th Virtual ChemBio Talks? Submit you abstract until 📅 June 30th. Two amazing keynote speakers @oconnorlab.bsky.social and @craigmcrews.bsky.social are already confirmed. More coming soon. Stay tuned! ⚗️👩‍🔬🦠🧑‍🔬

Great opportunity for #PhD #postdoc to showcase their #chemistry #chemicalprobe #proteomics #chembiol research at the next @chembiotalks.bsky.social Looking forward to keynotes from @craigmcrews.bsky.social and @oconnorlab.bsky.social and exciting #earlycareer Flashtalks!! #chemsky

Associate Professors (UHDs) and certain Assistant Professors (UDs) will get the promotion right at the University of Twente. Another step for #iedereenprofessor that strives for promotion right for all group leaders including UDs and UHDs at all Dutch universities. www.utoday.nl/news/75510/u...

Interesting @chemrxiv.bsky.social preprint by the group of Kevin Neumann. They describe the Triazine-Thiol Exchange (TriTEx) reaction for the labeling of internal and N-terminal cysteines. Site-selectivity for one of them can be obtained through choosing the right pH. chemrxiv.org/engage/chemr...

We had an amazing Leiden Early Drug Discovery and Development (LED3) hub Lecture by Kim Lewis. He talked about his group's multiple amazing disvoveries of novel natural poducts antibiotics that evade bacterial resistance development. (1/9) www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

We are very happy that Kim Lewis visited us today for a very well attended @led3hub.bsky.social Lecture. He talked about the prospect of developing "Resistance-evading antibiotics". www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

The 15th International ABPP Meeting will be happening in Leiden in 2027. While it is still a long way to go, if you enjoyed this year's edition or were sad that you missed out, make sure to already follow @abpp2027.bsky.social to receive all the information in the future!

We are very excited that we will be hosting the 15th International Activity Based Protein Profiling (ABPP) Meeting in Leiden in 2027. If you do not want to miss anything, make sure to follow this page to see all the information in the future.

Very interesting J. Med. Chem paper by the group of Darci Trader @traderlab.bsky.social. They developed ByeTACs to induce protein degradation by directly recruiting a POI to the proteasome subunit Rpn-13. They used this for E3-independent degradation of BRD4 and BTK. pubs.acs.org/doi/10....

As a focus points of my #Antibiotics course is the work with primary literature, the students also work with a paper in the exam. This year, I selected the paper "Optimized arylomycins are a new class of Gram-negative antibiotics" by a team around Christopher Heise. www.nature.com/artic...

Which flow rate is most suitable for MS-based #proteomics and #chemoproteomics? We have been thinking about this for a long time (nanoLC, capLC, µLC). According to a new @biorxivpreprint.bsky.social by the @kusterlab.bsky.social, it seems like all options work very well. www.biorxiv.org/cont...

Still excited that we are now able to announce great events, like the @LED3hub.bsky.social Lecture by Kim Lewis on April 24th, on the fancy new screens in the Gorlaeus building. If you are interested in natural product antibiotic discovery do not miss this one! www.universiteitleid...
