Caroline Dias Goncalves is being held in a detention cell with 17 other women, under harsh conditions, a relative told The Tribune. They said she is being treated roughly and they are worried about her mental state.

None of these Trump people act as if there will be midterm elections in 2026. Or elections beyond that.

This is what I lose sleep over

Perfection.

This video shows what happened to Sen. Padilla after they forcibly removed him from Kristi Noem's press conference. He's given orders from the officers that would cause him to smash his face, then pushed to the ground and handcuffed. Via: x.com/elex_michael...

This is rather well put. In a week: a Member of Congress criminally charged with protest, a Senator handcuffed, a union leader charged, the military on the streets of a major city against the wishes of the governor and mayor while the Federal government claims it's "liberating" the people there...

This is the cycle: raid, escalate, criminalize the response, send in troops. ICE raids are not neutral, they’re psychological warfare on communities, and now they’re using military backup. This isn’t enforcement. It’s state-sponsored intimidation.

Quick question — the governor of California controls the national guard so how is this going to work?

The most striking thing about the LA protests is how many people just dropped everything to show up and yell at federal agents. There are people in suits, and carrying dogs, and wearing flip flops or bike helmets. These are not people who planned to do this today. But there they are.

"There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people." - Commander William Adama, Battlestar Galactica

Phang: We are just 19 weeks—approximately—into the second term of the Trump administration. We have another three and something years to go, people. We cannot allow the DOJ to be led by a lackey of Donald Trump. That is the type of shit you see in a dictatorship.

hmm seems like a problem

In Greek mythology, Narcissus fell in love with his own reflection in a pool of water.

Iowa, come get your Senator. Joni Ernst isn’t fighting for Iowa—she’s fighting for Trump’s approval and billionaire donors. So damn condescending.

Twenty years ago today, "Kremlin Rising" was published, our effort to document how Vladimir Putin had rolled back Russian democracy and consolidated power in his own hands. Two decades later, his grip appears as firm if not firmer than ever. @sbg1.bsky.social

i mean they did, but do you think the NYT ran more stories about what mass deportation looked like in reality or more stories about trumps claim kamala isnt really Black? did cnn do more segments regurgitating trumps lie hed only go after criminals or talking about who would really be deported?

Given Musk’s obsession with the Great Replacement, birth rates and racial hierarchy, it’s hard to see his decision to mass murder millions of the poorest people on earth as anything other than genocide based on eugenics.

Folks don’t miss a beat 😂

Reuters is reporting that Donald Trump’s tariffs and ridiculous trade war is costing companies more than $34 billion in lost sales and higher costs, according to an analysis of corporate disclosures. So. Much. Winning. 🙄

We are governed by a lunatic

Thread on where we stand on tariffs right now. It's a gigantic mess!

This is pure fucking evil

Russian media report that Zaur Gurtsiyev, who was responsible for strikes on Mariupol, has been blown up in Russian Stavropol. Reportedly, a person carrying an explosive device came up to him near a residential building. Both of them died. Gurtsiyev led the air strikes on Mariupol.

Your periodic reminder that immigration "judges" are employees of the executive branch who, despite serving a quasi-juridical function, can be fired at the whim of the president and AG like most DOJ employees. They are not independent Article III judges.
