Weirdly, my favorite thing about Mario Kart World is how good it feels to race on water. 8 Deluxe had you going underwater a lot, which was fun but more of a visual experience. Racing on top of water here reminds me of Diddy Kong Racing and Dreamcast era racers like Hydro Thunder in the best way.

Gentle reminder that if you enjoyed Slay the Princess and are on the fence about Scarlet Hollow that the entire first episode is free on Steam! We love all of our children equally, but SH has been a ~deep~ rabbit hole for a lot of our fans. It's a longer story, with a lot of subtle variations.
