So my executive dysfunction made personal hygiene a huge effort. (My guess is my brain needed a huge ROÍ on showers. So if I wasn’t “that dirty,” it wasn’t happening.) I showered today after simply thinking “I should go shower.” There was no cajoling or mocking or bribing. I just…showered. WILD.

Today, I was officially diagnosed with ADHD. Again. This time, though, the doctor thought medication was perfectly fine and more than needed. So tomorrow, I'm going to start taking Adderall. I'm 51 years old, and I'm equal parts terrified and excited.
