Continuing to troubleshoot the tape deck. I wanted to see if there was an issue with the connection from the board to the play/record head and learned I was right in my suspicion that there’s a separate connection for play and record on the combo head. Too bad both connections seem fine though lol

Going to attempt to desolder, clean, and resolder this play/record switch on my cassette deck. Currently the deck plays, but does not record tapes. At the end of this I’ll either have a way to actually record tapes or a totally broken tape deck.
