I've not gone into Twitter much over the last few months, every other week really. Today i finally realised that it's like standing next to a putrid bog, why do it. So, today i have deactivated my Twitter account, there is too much vileness in this world without being part of it myself.

I stopped into Twatter for the first time in a while today. The site is a cesspit now, full of hate. The amount of MAGA cultists screaming for judges to be imprisoned, impeached, sacked or worse is staggering. So this is how a police state starts. It's scary, and i'm not even an American

I dived into the other place for the first time in a while. It really is a sleaze pit of mostly unpleasant groups of people. To find someone on the right is actually seems a rarity, mostly it seems they are out and out vile, racist thugs. No, don't think i'll be back for a long time. If at all.

So far i am enjoying my time on Bluesky. No rabid right wing nonsense, no verbal diarrhoea from oh so many. Nice stuff on books & astronomy, mixed with varied discussions on many topics. I'm not looking for a huge follower count, but will i'm sure build a nice varied group of people. Enjoy the peace
