I got the new Sony headphones with the unmemorable name that ends with a 6. I had the 3s before so they are quite a step up. Every gimmick is a waste of time (make it sound like you’re in a cafe? Puh-leeeeze… it sounds like a free room reverb plugin) but otherwise they are great and I’m v happy.

I am going through that last obsessive bit of mixing where I listen to the track in headphones last thing at night and think, “that vocal needs to go down 1dB at the top… cello fade 2 seconds earlier… lengthen reverb tail on the last note by 5 seconds” Time to walk away. It’s done.
