Mediaite will publish any old, shitty, delusional opinion these days.

So if Iran were some how many to target a US nuclear facility and cause damage (such as via a hack or even direct munitions), would the US not consider this an act of war?

Reading between the lines here: No new intelligence regarding Iran's nuke weapon capacity (as in they didnt have it), but Netanyahu convinced Trump that Iran was a threat regardless and thus Trump went ahead with joining Israel's war.

Just pause for a moment and ponder on the fact that Elon is scolding a LLM he helped build like it's a child. I can't be the only one that finds this personification creepy. Like why does Musk respond it this way? How does he think his reply does anything? Is it just performative or genuine?

The BBC has confirmed it won’t air its documentary on Gaza’s medics. I know some of the journalists involved and they’re absolutely excellent. This statement is mealy-mouthed; you can’t “both sides” the facts on the ground of a genocide, and there’s a clear public interest in documenting those facts

just one man's opinion but i think if you are this naive (or worse) you probably shouldn't be trusted with ushering in the tools that you purport will dramatically reshape all of society forever

"In the 18 months after ChatGPT was released, speakers used words like “meticulous,” “delve,” “realm,” and “adept” up to 51 percent more frequently than in the three years prior"

Truly a great user experience trying to read an article on the @the-independent.com’s mobile site. Is the tiny amount they make from these ads worth putting off readers from ever returning?

And as much as I respect TommyInnit and his grind as a content creator, I really don't think he's an appropriate person to speak on this issue. Dude made Minecraft videos and has transitioned into stand up comedy #BBCQT is allergic to having actual academics on.

There may come a day when the BBC puts on air one of the other 29,999 headteachers currently estimated to be working in UK schools, but that day is not today

It's kind of wild that we are getting leaks like this.

Arguably the most insane part of this story is that OpenAI projects it will only make $15bn in enterprise revenue/business revenue in 2030. That means they want to make $100bn a year in CONSUMER subscriptions. That's insane! That's more than twice what Netflix makes ($39bn a year)!

Whilst I'm not an expert in the field, I'm pretty sure doing international diplomacy based upon the whims and erratic moods of a single, aging, oftentimes detached from reality, old man is probably not a good thing for the safety of the world.

Must have been briefly exposed to some humanity and her body violently rejected it.

It is extraordinarily weird watching him conveying a single, cohesive thought for more than five seconds here. It really does show you that, while his heart as always been several shades deeper than vantablack, there's something medically wrong with his brain at this point.

Cool that Don Jr is admitting his has an IQ below 3.

"I could be nice but..." I think this is so emblematic of Trump's personality. Cruelty, meanness and pettiness are his default positions. This is not a good disposition for any human, let alone leader to have.

One thing I often deal with in academic misconduct cases is explaining to students that ChatGPT generates different answers even if the prompt is the same (in general use cases). Student's don't understand why their essay is flagged at 0% similarity to other sources when ChatGPT generated it.

Never thought that knowing in game lore for League of Legends would become relevant for a case of academic misconduct. God my colleagues are gonna think I'm such a nerd

Since 1992 Netanyahu has been constantly saying that Iran is anywhere from 1-7 years away from having nuclear weapons. He's the boy who has cried wolf so many times to justify his warmongering.

This is serious, rigorous analysis and it should change the way the media has been covering these protests. These were, in the aggregate, *massive.*

Absolutely fucking insane thing for a police officer to say. Psychopathic fascists are at all levels of government in America.

You can tell at the end that what he really wanted to say was “you should learn how to say it, because I’m going to be your fucking mayor”

Currently watching the Dem mayoral debate for New York. It's wild to me that Cuomo has the support that he does. Just comes across as a grumpy, unlikeable, bitter old man. Mamdani landing so many body blows on him (as are the others). #NYdebate

If Cillizza were a journalist in late 1800's London he be writing peices like "Sure murdering all those women was bad, but have we considered Jack the Ripper's point of view? Maybe those women deserved it."

"Liberate this city from socialists and burdensome leadership." If that's not regime change, I don't know what to tell you. The inflection point is now.

Jesus wept. Read the fucking room NYT.

DHS is also lying about him being repeatedly told to back away. The video shows the men who pushed him don’t even open their mouths, they just grab him and get them out of the room without saying a word.

Straight up fascism. No other word to describe the arrest of a democratically elected Senator simply asking questions about why the federal government is deploying the military in his state.

The administration's goons are now manhandling United States senators for asking questions at a press conference.

If these people believe in ghosts, it's totally understandable how they can still believe in the mythical benefits of Brexit...

Your soon to be regular reminder that David Bull, Reform's new Chair, is an unrelenting moron and liar.

Grossly predictable.

Do better CNN. How about "Trump threatens protesters with military violence"?

New 14 words just dropped

Time to play “who said it, David Duke or Charlie Kirk?”

How bloody stupid. Have they learnt nothing over the past 2 decades and Trump's America. There is no appeasing these sorts of people. They will hate and distrust 'the media' regardless. Give them all the ant-EU content they want. They'll still call to abolish the BBC.
