I say we change today’s holiday from flag day to “Take back our Flag Day” from the orange stain in the White House. Cheers to all the brave patriots who turned out to protest. #NoKingsDay

For 11 years I have spent a lot of time arguing that the western world must oppose Russian terror and aggression. What amazes me is that opposing Russia is still something that is debated, not universally agreed on. How could we become such miserable cowards?

“But that’s not what really made me angry. It was that these little statements point to the moral rot at the core of Trumpism, which every day disgraces our country, which we are proud of and love…

If you distrust Anthony Fauci, a medical doctor and scientist who spent 40 years as the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, but you trust RFK Jr., a lawyer and drug addict with no medical degree or training of any kind in medicine or science, you might be a moron.

www.nytimes.com/2025/05/27/b... Trump and Republicans could care less about the small business owners of the US. All they care about are the Billionaires

‘They say, We leave you our deaths. Give them their meaning.’ —Archibald MacLeish Remembering the fallen this Memorial Day, we can consider our own duty to strive so that our lives and our country are worthy of the price they paid.

💥 NEWS: McDonald's shareholders voted Tues. to reject an anti-DEI proposal, 99-1 percent. McDonald's Board said the proposal "unduly interferes" with the company's "flexibility and judgment." MCD: "Our success in the future builds on our history of embracing diversity as a competitive advantage."

Just listened to the Hur interview tape and I’m utterly appalled at all the incoherent and crazy things Biden said about Revolutionary War airports, injecting bleach, people eating cats and dogs, Hannibal Lecter, and Arnold Palmer’s penis. Simply unbelievable that he ran for president again.

Sad to hear David Ignatius of the Washington Post on @morningjoe drinking the Trump Kool-Aid. Everything Trump is doing in the Middle East is for his own benefit and not for benefit of the people of the US. Remember Foxconn? How did that work out for Wisconsin?

The President just effectively signed a statement that he is committing a crime, violating a criminal statute enacted with overwhelming bipartisan majorities (it passed 96-2 in the Senate). Here is the law and his post. 1/3

I think every seller of goods in the US should publish the list price of the products being sold together with the increase in price occasioned by the Trump tariffs. We consumers have a right to know what we are paying

The question is: why is Trump so anxious to prevent the people from knowing what they are paying in taxes (for that’s what tariffs are)?

SIX MONTHS AGO.

📌Hold on, goddammit: If tariffs are so good for our economy, why doesn't the White House want us to see what they are actually costing us??????

The Good Samaritan, rest in peace Pope Francis

So much for the US as the shining city on a hill. More like the eye of Sauron atop the tower of Barad-dûr in the land of Mordor

@morningjoe-msnbc.bsky.social A word of advice to this administration, let Steve Rattner’s Border Collie set economic policy. What have they got to lose

Buckle up buttercups, this roller coaster ride is far from over. We still have 3 more years of Trump lunacy. Keep fighting and stay strong

www.nytimes.com/2025/04/09/u... Why have a House of Representatives if they are not willing to exercise their mandate under the Constitution. The Republican majority are feckless cowards

This so bears repeating, repeating, repeating.

www.nytimes.com/2025/04/08/o... I’m not a fan of Bret Stephen’s but I welcome this piece to the national discourse with the mild admonition, “too little, too late”. The damage Trump has done may not be reversible.

My reaction to Senator John Barrasso’s pathetic defense of Trump’s economic calamity on CBS @cbsnews.com this morning

He tariffed territories entirely inhabited by penguins. That’s all you need to know about how well thought out his plans are.

www.nytimes.com/2025/04/06/o... A good reminder from David French that the right to due process is a foundational right under our Constitution and that it is threatened by Trump, Stephen Miller and their ilk. Anyone who expects Pam Bondi to protect us from Trump’s brand of Putinism is delusional.

Brilliant

Trump is a liar. This was the price of eggs this afternoon at our local Stop & Shop. If they were $4 a doz that might be a 50% drop as he claimed today in the Rose Garden. As it is, the price hasn’t moved in over a month

Well done Wisconsin. Congratulations, Susan Crawford

Is it really too much to ask media outlets reporting on invading Greenland & Canada to lead with "THIS IS WILDLY ILLEGALLY UNDER BOTH OUR NATO AND UN TREATY COMMITMENTS, WHICH ARE ALSO PART OF US LAW"? The normalization of this is wildly inappropriate & there is no excuse for it.

You have to see this. PoliticsGirl and her husband teamed up with the brilliant Timothy Snyder (author of On Tyranny) and the legendary John Lithgow to create something truly powerful. It’s important, it’s urgent—and it needs to be shared far and wide.

Until unchecked wealth cannot be converted to unchecked political power, democracy will always be under threat.

What an amazing string of coincidences that all these Republican officials keep getting exposed as pedophiles. What are the odds?!
