30 years ago the first Pride Scotland march set off from our community's home on Broughton St to march into the heart of the capital. It wasn't a platform for politicians or sponsors, it was an assertion of our visibility and our rights. I am beyond proud of this decision by the current organisers.

1/5 As it's VE day I want to share my grandads story. He was a regular in the DLI, he joined up in 1936 and was apparently on his way home from Singapore when war was declared. He fought at El Alamein and was severely wounded and left for dead on the field as the 8th army advanced.
