There was more to the stuff I bought from Slow Bone BBQ this morning. A Frito Pie, using their house-made brisket chili and the aforementioned house-made Shiner Bock Queso. And for dessert, Cornbread Pudding, repurposing leftover cornbread, prepared Crème Brûlée-style with a brown sugar drizzle.

My roommate saw me put more cheese onto a frozen pizza & it was like I unlocked something in him. I saw the wheels turning as he realized we don't have to settle for the default amount of cheese the pizza overlords offer us. What goes onto the frozen pizza is in our control. We have the power.

Standard fall-off-the-bone pork ribs. Not even the star of the plate, that’s the Mac & Cheese. Not at all ordinary, it’s Slow Bone’s house-made Shiner Bock Queso with roasted green and red chiles, scallions, and pasta shells (the best for Mac & Cheese, IMO, although they are rarely used).

So, this is one of Slow Bone BBQ’s original creations, it’s brand new! It’s called the Cheesy Devil - Deviled brisket and pork with American Cheese and sweet & sour pickles on Texas Toast. So good.
