The 5 in 5G stands for 5Mbps down

Still a week left to take the State of CSS survey! The survey hasn't got as many responses as last year, so any help sharing will be much appreciated :) survey.devographics.com/en-US/survey...

reminded of a very old draft post about the web, web technologies, ideas, best practices and a pendulum. I just need an easier “brain to publish” workflow than writing everything down 😂

The options to get to Manchester from Salisbury, almost endless. - via London Euston - via Basingstoke - via Bristol Temple Meads It feels like an absolute age since I’ve witnessed the stench of a Real Cornish Pasty™ alight at BTM.

Design system nerds - Would anyone be willing to share what they include in their primitive collection for Variables in Figma? Just thinking high level grouping I'm trying to put together some guidance and I think I'm going overkill with ideals. I have a sneaking suspicion I could slim it down...

looking for something as simple as www.useclear.com but for MacOS without using iPhone mirroring. Every now and then I just want a clean todo list with 'no fluff'.

A day in Andover tomorrow. Ethan’s got a welcome day at the college and we’re testing the commute. A day of laptop’ing in coffee shops. I f*cking hate it already.

Hey folks, I'm still looking 🙏🖤 👇

today's sound track will be peppered with some Bad Company and Mott The Hoople

Talk to me: Has anyone had any success with a schema approach to form journeys that could be integrated with different software platforms or user input types?

Have you ever read something and stopped to think - that's a hideous–looking uppercase J.

Oh, a graphics manual for Coca-Cola? Take my money. standardsmanual.com/products/coc...

Made a new Web Component: RichInput. It's a drop-in replacement for text-based <input> elements that can colourise user input. A "stylepattern" attribute accepts a regex pattern and the resulting capture groups can be styled using CSS `::part(group-n)` keithclark.github.io/richinput/

Just finished answering the State of CSS 2025. If you haven't yet, I highly recommend taking it as this will help browsers understand what matters most to you. survey.devographics.com/en-US/survey...

After a pleasant(‽) five hours wandering near my broken car. The car’s now at the garage and I’m on my way home for a curry and a cold pint. What a day.

Anyone using CSS Cascade Layers in production? if so, at what sort of scale are you noticing they make a difference?

We’ve got availability in the CodeTV production schedule and I want to work with your company! Is your company trying to reach developers? Let us help! Here’s a quick thread some of what we offer:

To while away the time I am - getting my steps in - listening to the podcast backlog - pulling ridiculous faces at anyone rubbernecking.

I dunno. If ya’ll tested on real devices you might find your GDPR pop over banner is actually pants.

broken car, busy road, four hour wait for the RAC.

This Thursday! The chaos continues with me attempting a start-to-finish mockup using Penpot + design tokens. Join me live!
