We (lawyers, former govt officials, former military) were engaged in role playing exercises prior to 2nd Trump inauguration of exactly this situation in California. This was so predictable, if not actually expected/planned. The Trump Administration is most dangerous we have seen in our history.

Whenever law enforcement agents are given a quota of a specific number of people to arrest or detain, especially with the WH policy director screaming at their superiors to hit those target numbers, bad things are going to happen. Quotas always result in civil rights violations.
