KILMAR HEARING UPDATE: Lunch break. -Prosecution portrayed KAG as a human smuggler who smuggled kids, had gang ties, etc -DEFENSE then pointed out almost all witnesses had something to gain/are related, interviews were not recorded.

Govt says it's not releasing Mahmoud Khalil. Judge Farbiarz only barred govt from detaining Khalil based on Rubio's "foreign policy" determination. While judge said it was "unlikely" govt would try to detain him based on claim of inaccuracy on his LPR application, he didn't bar it.

Back in 2019, when Trump charged Judge Shelly Joseph w/obstructing an ICE arrest, Todd Lyons' ICE sent one guy to arrest the migrant. Last week, Lyons' ICE sent 6 & even tho 2 of 6 encountered the migrant in courthouse w/o arresting him, they blame Judge Dugin. www.emptywheel.net/2025/04/27/s...

Arguments in this case today went horribly for the school board. The six Republican-appointed justices sound eager to craft a maximalist decision that effectively gives religious parents a sweeping new constitutional right to veto LGBTQ materials (and much more) in public school curricula.
