Just watched Mickey 17....this was a weird fucking movie, but I really liked it. I wasn't quite sure where the story was going, but once it showed its hand, I liked how the movie played out. Robert Pattinson is a PHENOMENAL actor, and I think this just shows his range. Now I want to read the books.

Dead Rising 4 - COMPLETE! So, I understand why this game is frowned upon within the series. It sacrifices pretty much all of the things that make DR stand out and turns this entry into just a generic action game. I actually really enjoyed myself with that, but I hope that 5 would go back to formula.

The Last of Us - Season 2, Ep.7 I KNEW IT! I called the ending shot for this finale, and I think it's the perfect lead in for Season 3. The episode itself is strong, giving Bella some great emotional stuff in the aftermath of Ep-5. It's the end of half of a story, and I can't wait for the rest.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - COMPLETE! I did not expect this game to feel so large. There's surprisingly a lot of content. That being said, some of the combat and platforming were a bit stiff, but once I struggled through, it was a fun game to close out. Let's hope the rest feel smoother.

Dude, Companion was awesome! I wish marketing hadn't given away the twist because it's revealed in such a genius way. Jack Quaid and Sophie Thatcher are great in their roles, and the script is so clever. If you have no idea what this is about, try to go in blind. I think it will greatly enhance it.

There's one mainline Resident Evil title I haven't played yet, and that's Code Veronica. I think it'll be soon, but I kind of want to pre-game it with the original trilogy. I love 1, but I've only played the remakes of 2 and 3. Maybe it's time I become more well-rounded in my fandomness!

Mafia III - COMPLETE! I like Lincoln and his story of revenge, but the open world design really hurts the pacing. Some missions stand out, but most are repetitive and drag things out. The police system is also very overbearing. However, the gunplay is still fun. This franchise needs to stay linear.

Novocaine was gnarly! I loved the simple setup, and the action was creative with it's concept. Jack Quaid is always a pleasure, and I was genuinely surprised at how hardore it went with the violence. I loved it! It felt like the world's best/worst superhero. I need to own this one. It was great!

Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning isn't the best MI movie, but it's still entertaining. The first act is a slowburn trip down memory lane that sets the stakes. Once past that, it's a more serious adventure of desperation. I love the hand-to-hand fight scenes, but pacing could've been better.

I think this is the right call. If it feels like you need more time, take the time. The Multiverse Saga had to shift plans, so the final chapters have to do a lot of heavy lifting. I think this is the best thing for the movies. I can wait. 😁

I now have the full Resident Evil Novelization series by S.D. Perry. I am excited to get to these in the near future. I've checked out a little bit of the first, and it was incredibly well written. I'm also very interested in the 2 original novels. A Resi fan knows no bounds!
