Forget intelligence?? So embarrassing that this twat is our Secretary of State.

He was humiliated last weekend. This weekend he bombed someone. My guess is there is a relationship between those two events.

Take note.

If people really find this to be such an easy conclusion, then Congressional authority should be easy to get. So why don’t they insist on a vote? They know this isn’t “progressive” resistance. They want to marginalize it as such because on top of this war being ILLEGAL, it’s also deeply unpopular.

Pretty amazing that a former president will sit quietly as one of his successors orders US troops into American cities and ships innocent people off to concentration camps—but feels compelled to speak up when a fellow HR nightmare is at risk of losing to another member of the same party.

“Forget about intelligence” is a pretty good mantra for this administration

The war in Iran is illegal under the UN Charter, under War Powers Act, and didn't even comply with National Security Act.

No money for Medicaid or SNAP or museums or schools or sidewalks or gun violence prevention or art or libraries. Always money for war.

2025 is like Herbert Hoover and George W Bush had a baby.

I'm still waiting for grocery prices to go down. When's that happening?

I should be, and generally am used to these things but when the trump White House got huffy at us today for this accurate and chill story from @andrewperez.bsky.social and me, I must confess it did…… annoy me, let’s just say. If you’re gonna lie the country into war, the least you can do is be…

Historians will one day wonder how it was that someone so famously lacking in good judgment could have been the man to lead the world’s most powerful nation into a war with a proud nation 90-million strong that did not, in any meaningful way, threaten the lives of its people. https://trib.al/dBjNFaN

You can say Trump bombed Iran for any number of more recent reasons but the reality is that he bombed Iran because in 2017 threw out the deal Obama made, specifically because Obama made it, and was completely unable to negotiate a better deal himself.

I think people missed it amid Whiskey Pete's other faceplants in congressional hearings in last two weeks--but he struggled to distinguish the US from ISIS and al Qaeda two weeks ago.

That's not how any of this works.

Cuomo and Bill Clinton are picking up Kevin Spacey then they’re all gonna break Harvey Weinstein out of jail to start a sexual predator Fantastic Four.

@greenhousemd.bsky.social

Watching so many Democrats wave away sexual harassment allegations against Cuomo—after spending years watching Republicans wave away rape and sexual assault allegations against Trump—is depressing. Saying that serious allegations of sexual abuse don't matter is morally repugnant.

Vance: We launched an unconstitutional and illegal attack on a hunch.

This really isn’t a hard message. Obama neutralized the Iran nuclear program through the hard work of diplomacy, but Trump tore up the deal in his first term out of spite and chose war instead.

We bombed Iran without congressional approval and I still have chores and work and kids in sports and supper to make. Living through autocracy and another possible forever war while living day to day is wild.

Gas is $3.50 a gallon, butter is $6 bucks a pound, eggs are $4 bucks a dozen, we’re at war with Iran, South African Nazis stole all our data, and ICE is throwing citizens in detention camps. But hey, at least those 3 trans kids can’t play volleyball anymore.

Much as I would not dare to predict the consequences of this war, I do think we can summarize it thusly so far: A smart and evil man manipulated a stupid and evil man into a war against a fanatical and evil regime.

Rep. Sarah McBride: “Every single time they say the word trans, every single time they say the word immigrant, look what they’re doing with their grubby hands. I guarantee you that they’re picking the pocket of American workers.”

The last time the US used “instincts” as a basis for war:

Really surprised that the Supreme Court order lifting the stay on DOGE'S access to the entire SSA database cuz DOGE's folks, newly assigned to the SSA, need unbridled access to the agency's entire database to perform their newly created "function". Strikes me as a huge deal. bsky.app/profile/beve...

The mayor of Huntington Park had formally directed the police department to enforce laws against ICE concerning unmarked vehicles, visible license plates and required agency identification.

Instead of CUTTING Social Security benefits, Congress should INCREASE payments by $200 per month and extend the solvency of the Social Security program by 75 YEARS. How? Make the wealthiest Americans pay a fairer share. I’ve got a bill to get it done.

Why are no headlines focusing on the unconstitutional and dictatorial nature of this action?

I am looking for congressional leaders to come out quickly and forcefully against this. We need unequivocal opposition. We need theatric demonstrations of defiance. We need to see leadership. Trump will steamroll us all if we display weakness. Where are our leaders?

President Donald Trump says the U.S. military struck three sites in Iran, directly joining Israel’s effort to decapitate the country’s nuclear program in a risky gambit to weaken a longtime foe amid Tehran’s threat of reprisals that could spark a wider regional conflict.

I know this can sound kind of silly at a time like this, but doing a war without congressional authorization is ample grounds for impeachment

Brb, mainlining espresso because I’m clearly not sleeping for awhile

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

We still have no idea who the ICE agents are. They could be insurrectionists, extremist militiamen or criminals themselves, chasing law-abiding citizens down the street for recording their kidnappings. The odds they aren't are low. Congress must raise hell about this. A masked gang runs our country.

This would be why the Senate has the power to advise & consent on presidential nominations www.politico.com/news/2025/06...

A great thing everyone can do for people who are on the same political team as you is not be condescending online. I know it feels SO GOOD to come slamming in with a nuance you feel they may have missed while making an entirely different point, but maybe take a breath and have a cookie instead.
