There's no declaration of war, and no AUMF that covers this. Entering this war is wrong on the merits; we had a perfectly peaceful way to address Iran's nuclear program. It's also unlawful. A democratic republic should not be able to enter a war of choice on one man's say-so.

We still have no idea who the ICE agents are. At a meeting with economists, I said the way they/we do benefit-cost analysis (Kaldor-Hicks where winners could compensate losers) hasn’t broadly worked. It’s not that Kaldor-Hicks was wrong, it’s that society didn’t actually compensate the losers. So the political durability of the method eroded.
