100%, this is community management 101. Doesn't even need to be outright bigots. Ppl who make folks uncomfortable but are not _technically_ doing anything wrong still cause an exodus - it's easier to quietly leave than stay in the line of fire for something they aren't even paid to attend.

I think when this set ends we'll consider it closer to New Capenna 3c faction than a Tarkir 3c one. OG Targir was base 3c often going 4 or 5 format while Capenna was a 2c format masquerading as a 3c format. Mardu is playing the role of Brokers in this comparison. Interested to see if I'm right.
