One of the most honest things a super PAC donor has ever said

This is going to make the sub-prime events look like hayseed.

NEW: Records of 911 and EMS responses to calls from ICE detention centers show a surge in emergencies the facilities are unequipped to handle, including suicide attempts, severe pregnancy complications, and alleged sexual assaults by staff. This is by @dmehro.bsky.social and @dell.bsky.social

Two leading institutions in the hard nationalist wing of MAGA are already calling to denaturalize and deport Zohran. During Biden, NYYRC and R4NR were bellwethers of MAGA’s far-right drift. A chilling glimpse at where the movement energy may be heading less than 24 hours in

I am convinced, although I have no hard evidence, that ICE has gotten orders to go out and re-detain Iranians with final orders of removal, many out in the community on orders of supervision for decades as Iran wouldn't take them. They may now be deported to Panama or somewhere random.

🚨BREAKING: Trump administration files new lawsuit seeking access to Orange County’s list maintenance records concerning potential non-citizens on the voter rolls. www.democracydocket.com/cases/califo...

This is a travesty & a nightmare. The US was a founder of @gavi.org. It lowers global vaccine costs, has vaccinated 1B children, & averted 19M deaths. This pull out will cost 100s of thousands of children's lives a year - and RFK Jr will be personally responsible. www.politico.com/news/2025/06...

If he wins in November, he's going to need many competent progressive people who wouldn't touch city government with a ten foot poll to join city government. A long bench is needed. that's a lesson from Chicago.

Careful guys, if you don’t control migration you might turn out like <checks notes> the greatest, wealthiest city in the world.

Since May: Federal district courts have ruled against Trump admin 94% of the time. Supreme Court has sided with the Trump admin 94% of the time. A judiciary at war with itself.

We're in so much trouble

Vaccination schedules on the CDC website have already started changing under RFK Jr. So we published a guide to the evidence-based vaccine recommendations in place *before* all 17 members of the advisory panel were abruptly dismissed by the new admin. www.scientificamerican.com/article/see-... 🧪

THIS IS FUCKED UP: Sae Joon Park took bullets for America in Iraq. The thanks he got? A one-way ticket out of the country he nearly died for. He’s being deported to South Korea—after surviving spinal injuries, PTSD, and addiction. He fought for America. Now America throws him out like trash.

🚨 🚨 I have watched this closely for several years. The politicians have been trying to undo Ohio teacher pension election outcomes for years. (Teachers want their full COLA back, and have voted accordingly). 1/

JUST IN: Never seen this before — the Justice Department is suing ... the entire federal district court bench in Maryland over its standing order requiring an automatic two-day stay in habeas cases. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

The Bove allegations should be treated as something akin to Watergate, or Iran Contra. The administration was attempting to do something they *knew* was illegal (anticipating the courts saying as much), and then trying to COVER IT UP. Only here instead of it being run out of the WH or NSC, it’s DOJ

Finland, the Baltics and Poland plan to mine the border with Russia to create a new Iron Curtain, The Telegraph reports.

Soulless monster.

This is extraordinarily corrupt. But I still think he’s far more malevolent and sociopathic than merely corrupt.

to call this a crime against humanity is true but inadequate — it’s a crime against all creation

I didn’t have the Supreme Court destroying the authority of federal district courts on my bingo card. But in retrospect that’s perhaps where all this shadow docket decision-making was going all along. Really scary stuff.

The one silver lining of the Roberts Court is that it will destroy the credibility of the Supreme Court to such an extent that liberals can no longer believe that it will be our salvation.

Honestly, even the Chinese and Russians never made me do this to get a visa. Even the North Koreans, who made me hand over my phone for the duration of my visit, never made this demand.

I'm a simple unfrozen state court clerk, but this is the part of it most galling to me personally. The district court judge and clerks put in an incredible amount of work in short order, as did the circuit judges and clerks. And they get reversed *without saying why*? It's appallingly disrespectful.

Crucially, the mother missed the hearing in 2018 because she was a child at the time, and it was her mother’s failure to bring her to the hearing which led to the deportation order. This is depressingly common.

DISASTROUS. This means they will send people to horrific situations with no due process — in direct violation of promises the Solicitor General made to the Court in previous cases. This greenlights sending people to be enslaved in Libya or tortured in any random foreign country.

Marco Rubio needs to be asked whether he believes his grandfather who remained in the U.S. after receiving a deportation order from our govt should have been treated the way the father of 3 Marines was treated by ICE this weekend in California. ASK HIM. Make him confront his lack of character.

Just putting it out there that everyone self-censors at work, it's called "being a professional."

Funny, that.

Is it too late to give Sacha Baron Cohen an Oscar for this? Not a damn lie told. 🇺🇸

KTLA - Narciso Barranco, a father to three sons who are all US Marines, pepper-sprayed and punched in the face by alleged federal immigration officers while he was working as a landscaper at an IHOP. He was then forced into the back of an unmarked car in Santa Ana.

everyone in the natsec and FP community increasingly just losing their minds as the topical questions in US FP and natsec these days increasingly devolve to the level of "should we lick this toaster while it is on? some experts weigh in"

This is DUI foreign policy. The driver himself is happy, relaxed and confident in his abilities. It's everyone else who's tense and waiting for the inevitable crash.

Well done everyone. Bravo

Jonathan Haidt claiming that the SAT's move to short passages is because of a screen-addled generation rather than a decades-long systemic disinvestment from robust literacy instruction in favor of "skills" by the College Board is the most self-serving thing I've seen in a minute.

“Forget about intelligence” is a pretty good mantra for this administration
