I think they call this 'boy dinner.'

rock me raja like the wind and the rain rock me raja like a southbound train hey-ey, maharaja.

whenever some shit like this happens I like to google the person and without fail their wikipedia page always includes a whole section titled like "allegations" or "controversies"

Busta Rhymes could solve the male loneliness epidemic.

I’d say that this is a very revealing comment except what is revealed is very obvious: generative AI is an interesting technology with what will probably prove to be a few useful applications, and it’s being inflated into a trillion dollars year industry because tech has no other good ideas.

the NYC grocery thing is yet another example of conservatives deliberately mistating an option (subsidized food for the poor) as a requirement (soviet style food lines). If you don't want to go to the government store, simply don't! there are still other stores!

it's hilarious that the NYC mayoral race gets national attention because people view it as some sort of stepping stone to the national stage even though that hasn't happened in like a century.

it's quite telling how much billionaires completely abhor democracy

hah.

They're knick knacks, Freddie Mac, give the bros a loan.

I think it explains a lot about the party that the NY Times considers Bill Clinton - who last held elected office when Mamdani was 9 years old - to still be the primary "establishment democrat"

great work zohran mamdani. now to take a big sip of water and see how the republican primary went...

I so badly want this screen to become a running gag in the Andor universe.

my wife thought the song 'In Your Eyes' was 1) by phil collins, and 2) from the disney movie tarzan, and I just about went full patrick bateman explaining how gravely mistaken she was.

buncha fuckin snowflakes

there is simply no reason to ever eat a tomato not grown between july and early september.

the energy elected democrats put into kneecapping anyone even slightly to their left vs the energy they put into opposing republican policy is almost enough to make me believe the conspiracy theories.

More than 3 times as many Americans believe the Chupacabra either definitely or probably exists than wants war with Iran

why does Congress, the largest branch, not simply eat the executive branch?

This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.

it's frankly absurd how much of my life revolves around groceries.

I don't know why politicians are so afraid of a robust safety net, they had to amend the constitution to prevent another guy from being this popular.

the impulse to cheat comes from the desire to earn the mark without doing the work, implying that the outward record of achievement is of greater value than the inward knowledge gained by achieving it. which, if anything, is the moral code of the oppressor.

it's a shame the phrase got turned into a meme by the most annoying dorks on the internet because "I drink and I know things" is my primary contribution to most situations.

pushing the seismic button and triggering a 9.0 Cascadian Event out of idle curiosity.

This would be a world-historical tragedy.

The moderates got Joe Biden as president and Eric Adams as mayor and somehow their story is that they need to take back power from the left
