Oh right there's also a funny section of the film that features a white rabbit using a tv remote. Somehow I need to find a clip or still of this.

Other film of the night wound up being The Sect aka The Devil's Daughter 1991. Very interesting film but is just so absolutely full of metaphor and mythology it just kinda loses itself. The women suffering as the destined mother to the antichrist thing is also you could spend ages deconstructing.

Thinking of him tonight

Spent all night unlocking this. I don't know how to feel.

Horror film of the night is a The Beyond rewatch. Ya know Fulci really did have a thing for ripping out people's eyes.

I'd like to see someone make a super subtle pokemon game. Progressively becomes more pokemon in mechanics and see how long it takes for people to notice.

Obligatory I saw this now you do too post

My hope for Requiem in that it seems like it might be more openish? is that they take a hint from the early areas of something like Evil Within 2. I am more trusting of Capcom considering the past decade but still, any time I see the words "cinematic" to describe a game, I wince.

More developers need to do this and push the announcement of games back until they're ready. They used that extra 20 minutes very well and the game looks great.

I really wasn't a fan of Code Vein tbh. Maybe the sequel will be better though. It was ok up to a point but it's level design really didn't hit right for me and that infamous anor londoish maze area was particularly bad.

Ill, Silent Hill, and Requiem all look great. It's gunna be an amazing time for both large budget and indie horror games the next few years. 🤌

Damn the bait

pain but ok
