This is a great idea! What if we do this every year with 12 random billionaires, throw them in an arena, make them fight to the death, let the winner live another year as a prize, and the losers’ fortunes are sold to fund foreign and domestic social/aid programs? What could we call it, though?

Before 9/11, we Americans thought we were invincible. Then we realized almost how vulnerable we are and then threw trillions of dollars, rights, and people into national defense. 24 years later, we handed the country over to a known felon and Russian shill who led an insurrection 4 years earlier.

Well I guess we can all be a lot nicer to athletes who fumble a big play. No one has made a bigger fumble than the legal system that let an asshole who planned, incited, and aided an insurrection against the government on national media not get convicted and sentenced in four years.
