OKC is flirting with disaster right now!

A great read that highlights how OKC has been overlooked by ESPN but also highlights how the network seems to be distracted by tabloid type stories (Stephen A/Lebron/Bronny) instead of talking about actual basketball

That’s okay. Didn’t want to watch the rest of the game anyway @fandueltv.bsky.social.

he won by a hair on the backs of low-info sporadic voters in the face of a global anti-incumbent wave fueled by COVID and inflation, I hate this insistence that he's suddenly the will of the American people personified for eternity. no the fuck he's not!

Holly Rowe (L) is seen here interviewing Kim Mulkey (R) who is distracted looking for her missing Dalmatians

The stock market is down again, but according to conservatives that doesn't matter anymore

"We see daily how families of all kinds — blood-related or chosen — pool groceries, bills & child care to keep one another safe. Occupancy caps effectively criminalize mutual aid, making it harder for people to meet basic needs," 4 local housing advocates write in this op-ed. lawrenceks.news/41VqAzh

The snozzberries taste like snozzberries.

Can confirm that the Chiefs & Jaylon Moore have agreed to a two-year deal, per a league source.

Left tackle Jaylon Moore to the Kansas City Chiefs on a two-year deal, per Adam Schefter on ESPN

My bet right now is throwing numbers at the problem. Lot of buzz around Dan Moore and Jaylon Moore. I think the cost gets too high for Dan. But I think the Chiefs may add 2-3 options between free agency and draft.

@jbbrisco.com and @bynatetaylor.bsky.social would you fine folks mind letting people know I'm here with your well-curated followings? lol. Wonderful day for a twitter crash hahaha.

Republican U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall has blamed the turmoil that erupted at a recent town hall meeting in rural Kansas on “paid Democratic operatives.” But the people who attended say they are just Kansans concerned about funding cuts, layoffs & more. you’re fired. wait you’re rehired. email us a list of things you’ve done today wait forget it you’re fired again. come back your job was important. you’re fired. or hired. come in to the office. wait the office has no computers go home. we are the department of government efficiency.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has become an unconventional megastar. He's the odds-on favorite to win his first MVP, the best player on the West's best team. And the basketball art he weaves on the court is uniquely 𝙝𝙞𝙢. http://dlvr.it/TJLSDN

So many people say this about OKC but the evidence is not really there for it. They foul a ton... and get called for a ton of fouls. (They're 28th in opponent FT rate.) And you "can't touch Shai"... but they don't draw any fouls. (They're also 28th in FT rate.)

Hi Im recording a podcast about the Thunder with @MikyBerra www.youtube.com/watch?v=__4t...

ESPN Research: The Eagles blitzed Patrick Mahomes on zero of his 42 dropbacks. Mahomes is the 6th QB in Super Bowl history to not be blitzed a single time. All six QBs lost.

people who are otherwise totally rational will tell you with utmost confidence that professional sports are rigged if they’re tired of a particular team it’s kind of incredible to watch

Double-thumbs-down with a nearly game-ending pass breakup over a guy who has absolutely been jawing at you all day rules. Dunk over the crossbar. Flash an invisible candy cane. Let it rip. The vibes are great.

Probably not shocking since they're the best defense, but OKC leads the league in fewest games allowing a player to score 30+ points this season. Check out where their NBA Cup Final opponent is.

just thinking out loud here in a safe space with open-minded people: it sure is interesting that this is the best the left tackle position has looked all year. it's also interesting that the left guard spot has not been a weakness with the backup playing. maybe—

I usually wait til the AM to share because nobody is up in OKC, but tonight was fun and worthy of words. On a statement win from OKC, in which it explicitly told the NBA it refuses to be punked: www.oklahoman.com/story/sports...

Alex Caruso on OKC’s national TV presence and the ripple effect. “We’re one of the best products in the league… people don’t even know what kind of basketball player Cason Wallace is in New York and in LA and in Chicago and Miami, because they don’t get to watch us play on national TV.”
