It's going to be a long march back home to our European friends. So much damage has been done. However, the best time to start is today and the next best day is tomorrow.

Says the man who negotiated the biggest act of self-harm in our history, then killed thousands during Covid by being a dithering fool, then threw away his massive majority because he couldn't follow his own rules. Sit down and shut up you useless tit.

At last! We have found it. The (singular) 'Brexit Benefit'. Not worth losing our freedom of movement over, but a genuine advantage.

I just signed this petition calling for a better deal with the EU for British businesses who have been damaged by Brexit. Will you add your name, too? www.europeanmovement.co.uk/business-rep...

Labour have been in power over 11 months. They also have a gigantic majority. Emergency legislation can be passed in days. They've had nearly a year. There is no reason for them to be perpetuating any Tory idiocies... unless they want to. So "but that's a Tory policy" doesn't wash as an excuse.

Where does she think growth is going to come from? A trade deal with Burkina Faso? Labour's red Brexit continues to suck growth and tax revenue out of the economy. If she wants to grow the economy, rejoining the Single Market would be the biggest lever of growth. #xenophobia #stupidity #Brexit

Can’t see Starmer going until 2029 but I can see Reeves going at some point.

While Labour indulge the xenophobia and stupidity of Brexit and Trump continues to wreck the US economy, she’d better get used to disappointment.

You have to love the Brexiters losing their collective shit over Gibraltar becoming part of the Schengen Area. It's happening BECAUSE of Brexit which has made life very difficult on the Rock and that's why 95.9% of Gibraltarians voted remain.... but apparently Starmer is giving it away

"Perhaps the Prime Minister knows something I don't?" Unfortunate choice of phrase from Kemi Badenoch, given that you could substitute Starmer's name for practically anyone, and the answer would still hold true.' #PMQs #PoliticsLive #SpendingReview

I detest this kind of game-playing... Tories: "Labour's doing XYZ bad thing." Labour: "That's rich. When you were in office, you did XYZ too." Labour supporters: "Ha! That showed 'em. Love you, Labour! Keep up the fab work." NO. If XYZ is wrong, it's wrong no matter who is doing it, or did it.

I am really tired of sensible & reasonable people who say they are pro-EU but nonetheless argue that we should accept Brexit and just tinker around the edges. It's Brexit as politics as usual, and it ignores the continuous damage Brexit is inflicting. Brexit is not politics as usual. It is a crime.

The only people this benefits are Putin and Xi

I can't help worrying that a future history book about this Starmer Government will be titled 'Squandered'.

That’s just crazy. He deliberately targeted her.

Water firms have already said they'll increase bosses' salaries to get around any ban on bonuses. The only way to end the profiteering is to take water out of private hands.

Ah, but kids not dying is 'woke'.

Perhaps prepare participants in polls like this by reminding them of what is happening to legal citizens in the USA just now. Context matters. Try it Some questions are really unsuitable for this kind of polling. Maybe participants should pass a test about what is IN the ECHR first?

Should we follow Putin out of the ECHR? Or is it just another Brexit where we give up our rights in the vain pursuit of making migrants disappear?

Instead of far right appeasment, Labour could transform the UK and box in Reform so they can't win a majority. They could: Reform the press with #Leveson2 Change from FPTP to PR Restrict most political donations Request to join the EEA & customs Have policies that invest in the UK archive.fo/ufx2E

Great but announcing things is politics, delivering things is Government. The Tories were fixated with the former and lost because there was no delivery.

Some interesting points but this is a poor and condescending summary for a topic that never goes away despite politicians best intentions to ‘move on’.

> if the UK is ever to Rejoin the EU, it…will happen through stagnation and humiliation, as it did in 1973 Rejoin is uncertain. Stagnation and humiliation are guaranteed. [1/4]
