Because someone shares your name or DNA doesn't mean you are anything like them-- or that you owe them interaction or access to you that compromises your safety, stability, or recovery. "Okay, but..." Nope. "But" nothing. Your recovery comes first-- full stop.

Most right-wing Prime Ministers start wars to win votes via "patriotism" But although Labour arms Israel & Ukraine the UK is not at war so what is Starmer not telling us a planned British invasion of Afghanistan (again) Iran (again) or maybe to share with the US oil rich Greenland ...

Thank god we've got someone covering Israel's relentless annihilation of civilians in Gaza. Thank you @channel4news.bsky.social #C4News

Grateful to host Louis Theroux in Parliament for a screening of The Settlers and a Q&A with MPs. It sparked vital discussions on the appalling situation in Gaza and the West Bank, highlighting the need for greater scrutiny and the breaches of basic decency & democratic norms.

UK Govt AI copyright plan suffers fifth Lords defeat, 221 to 116 votes. Copyright enables many to earn a living. It is being ripped off by tech companies. All they need to do is to inform people, get a licence to use and pay. Govt says change might come in the future. I voted against the govt.

You can’t tell me that what Labour & Starmer are doing with PIP cuts is right. There’s no fraud in regards to them & they enable people to work. This right here is disgraceful.

šŸ“‰ Neil sums up the lunacy of the self-inflicted hit to the UK's GDP after Brexit...

Obliged to @jonnelledge.bsky.social for sounding so sane, which is more than one can say about the papers he writes about. www.newstatesman.com/politics/med...

Promoting bad development by allowing the easy destruction of our last patches of nature is wrong. It is not necessary for dealing with the real need for housing and infrastructures.

Starmer and BBC maintain the nonsense that a national economy is like a household and comparing the two has validity. It also reinforces the false notion that government debt is the same as household debt and therefore implies that it must be paid back and if not the borrower will be bankrupt.

Why is this not a bigger story? The deputy GRIFTER-in-CHIEF wants to rob new workers of their pension, give existing workers lower pay rises, while taking his glod plated MP pension in time. This is what Deform clowns voted for. To make themselves poorer birminghamunison.co.uk/2025/06/03/r...

Reform is a Limited Company Farage owns 53% It was formed in 2019 to push for a ā€œno-deal Brexitā€ It wants to reintroduce the Liz Truss budget It wants to privatise the NHS & invest in fossil fuels Close the BBC & break International law It’s a scam Please retweet widely

This is NOT a joke

I just want a global 'turn all 'ai' off everywhere, categorically, no exceptions unless I individually approve them in triplicate' setting for all my devices

chatting with my mum, who is furiously angry because 'if you're from Africa, you can't get a visa to this country [the UK] any more, not for a family wedding, not to go to your son's PhD graduation - when did we become so scared of the world?'

Deep breath, lads. In response to the proposed government disability cuts, I wrote a piece about my life before The Daily Tism (it includes a PIP assessment, a mental health crisis and iced Madeira cake). We’ll fight this with everything we’ve got. #TakingThePip

At the screening last night Tony Gilroy spoke about why a lot of people in creative fields are progressive. I forget his exact phrasing but basically it’s because you have to have empathy in order to make something that speaks to people. Refreshing to hear empathy talked about as a positive.

It's 3 years today since Shell was given the go-ahead to drill for new gas at Jackdaw field. It was later ruled unlawful, but self-styled "green" chancellor Rachel Reeves made clear she doesn't care šŸ‘‡ Repost if you agree Govt should make a break with fossil fuel polluters to make a safer future

Happy #SocialistSunday everyone. As always, it’s the people who haven’t got much, or anything, that have to bear the brunt of repeated economic failure. Will follow/follow back like-minded people. ✊ #TaxTheRich #WealthTax #bbclaurak #TrevorPhillips

It is surrounded by 34 smaller wooden crosses, each of which bears a handwritten name. ā€œIn loving memory to all the homeless who have passed away on our streets of Cardiffā€, reads a plaque in their midst. Scandalous. apple.news/AZwMLb3QTRkq...

So let's get this right. The tariff war with the UK was on. Then it was off. Momentarily it was illegal. Now it is doubled. Next week it will be???? How can anyone plan as a deluded old man makes policy based on how he feels that morning? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Choosing to monetise your hobbies is one thing and being forced to commodify yourself and every part of your life is another. Personally I don’t want to be a brand, I want to be a human and an artist.

Cutting down Canadian forest for wood pellets to burn in a UK power station is not nor ever will be green, yet the UK government pays £££billions in environmental subsidies - more than they subsidise wind or solar - for a process that actually raises our energy bills. www.nrdc.org/bio/matt-wil...

"Stop expecting the government to do things for you." Oh, you mean the government that takes a quarter of my income every year, whether I like it or not? That government?

England could face water shortages within a decade. Since 1989 population, homes increased - 25 reservoirs sold off, no new ones, no desalination plants, 1 trillion liters of water a year lost to leaks. Companies borrowed to pay dividends. No forward planning. Disaster made by privatisation.

Feet dragging got us to here, decades of being told they are not INNS, there is no evidence, they are too liked etc ..weak decision making #ecology #people #INNS news.stv.tv/scotland/inv...

I'm waiting for the video of Robert Jenrick chasing tax dodgers - including his former cabinet colleagues - and asking them if they think it's right not pay. But it doesn't seem to have been posted yet.

"None of this changes the underlying problem – as long as water is privatised, we will continue to be ripped off, and rivers will continue to be polluted for profit." @cathobbs outlines the real solution to the water crisis - public ownership.

'Changed' Labour will re-allocate land to build new houses. a) Grouse moors = 1.3 million acres b) Golf courses = 700,000 acres c) Green belt = 1.7 million acres Guess which land Starmer chose... He's invented a new name for it. He calls it 'grey belt...'
