Hello. I live in Los Angeles. The president is lying.

It occurs to me that the administration is willing to "win, by any method." There are lines that the rest of us don't want to cross. Before this ends, we have to be willing to cross some of `em, and try to keep our humanity and self-respect. On cue, the brown-shirt boys are "just following orders."

They’re going to accidentally deport a U.S. citizen aren’t they

Fascism begins with censorship. Hitler's Ministry of Public Enlightenment & Propaganda banned "subversive" textbooks. Andrew Jackson tried to outlaw "divisive" anti-slavery literature. White mobs destroyed 100+ "radical" Black newspapers. Now it's Trump's turn.

Disappeared: Mahmood Khalil Disappeared count: 1 Khalil was a Columbia University graduate student, US permanent resident, and husband of a US citizen detained by order of the White House on 3/9/2025. He spoke out against the Israeli government, which is believed to be the reason he was targeted.

Re-upping this again as more people read about the Khalil case. More information to come, but nothing in WP and NYT so far contradicts original reporting. Again, it DOES NOT MATTER what you think about him or his cause. Either government is bound by the law for all of us or we're all at their mercy.

👏👏👏👏👏 65/35 chance, though, that if they had asked the MAGA what NATO stands for he would have assumed it’s some kind of internet abbreviation for something

Some of his readers have asked Mike Masnick @mmasnick.bsky.social why his technology news site, Tech Dirt, has been covering politics so intensely lately. www.techdirt.com/2025/03/04/w... I cannot recommend Mike's reply enough. It's exactly what readers need to hear, what journalists need to do.

Nice.

The line is not between left and right, liberal or conservative. The line is between democratic citizens and a fascist movement, between defenders of an evidence-based worldview and people who try to replace it, between human rights and human atrocities, between freedom for all and serfdom for most

Folks: I am NOT affiliated with the group that is using my name to support an economic boycott. Please spread this post, if you would.

I'm beginning to think that we may not have the opportunity to save our U.S. constitutional democracy by usual means.

The reality behind the whole 51st state thing.

New button just dropped.

If you are scared to protest now, remember: this is the easiest it will ever be. Life under dictatorships is pure hell & lasts for decades, probably the rest of your lives if you don’t stop them now. Read about Iran, Syria, Afghanistan – sooner or later you have to overthrow them. Choose sooner. #3E

It’s been inspiring to see everyone come together for LA,,, but there’s one community I need to highlight. Not enough is being done for the black families after the LA fires. Ive partnered up with GoFundMe and the BMAC to create ONE main GoFundMe campaign to immediately help those in need. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

NEW: Security researchers tested 50 well-known jailbreaks against DeepSeek’s popular new AI chatbot. It didn’t stop a single one.

It’s important to know that a lot of productive activity is happening in person and offline, too. Not all of it can be broadcast online, but we’ve had hundreds of people showing up to our trainings, mobilizations, and more. Keep going. Tyranny is eroded by a sea of small acts. Everything matters.

Important follow-up on my pinned report and my recent post about the takeover at OPM: The Washington Post has confirmed the claims below. There is indeed a takeover of the federal government happening that is being coordinated by people outside the government who have gotten access to U.S. servers.

I promise I won't spam my own feed with Paul Klee posts.
