The interview of @zackpolanski.bsky.social by @politicsjoe.bsky.social was really good. The party needs to be bolder to cut through the noise, needs to be more populist, and focus on messaging its values of economic & social fairness with a positive vision of the future. youtu.be/MVPT653gCV0?...

Labour were elected on the promise that they would bring about change. But rather than deliver the change Britain so desperately needs, they’ve gone even further right than the Tories ever dared to. No wonder people feel betrayed. The only party promising genuine change is the @greenparty.org.uk

Labour and tories lost a combined 53 of 58 seats they held yesterday. Just an absolutely insane swing. I'm no supporter of Reform, but I am not surprised to see them winning results like this in areas like ours in the north east that's been failed repeatedly by the old parties.

Well said @nadiawhittomemp.bsky.social 👏 🏳️‍⚧️

🎯: @georgemonbiot.bsky.social "So who has government listened to? Astonishingly, Keir Starmer told us. His attack on environmental regulation, inspired by “my conversations with leading CEOs”...Blissfully unaware this is the bit you're not supposed to say." www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...?

Yvette Cooper on #r4today echoing Trump’s racist characterisation of asylum seekers as criminals & specifically rapists. We are on such a dangerous path towards the same deranged, fascistic nightmare as they are seeing in the US - all justified by hatred of migrants & refugees.

Love this article where @theguardian.com followed me doorknocking! "People are going to vote for change & it remains to be seen whether they vote for the positive message @greenparty.org.uk is giving or if they will vote for Reform & its negative message." www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

The government's benefits cuts, two-child cap and freeze in Local Housing Allowance are all *false economies*. They don't save money. They merely push spending into different parts of the budget, while causing untold suffering. Cruel, perfomative and pointless. www.theguardian.com/news/2025/ap...

Palestinians are not “facing” starvation. They are being starved to death by Israel. Yet our government still refuses to end all arms sales and implement sanctions, granting endless impunity for Israel's crimes against humanity. End the blockade — and stop the genocide.

"This is a marathon, not a sprint" Green Councillor Raphael Hill speaking today at Brighton's protest against this week's horrific Supreme Court decision. The fight for trans rights and self-ID did not end this week - it will not end until it is won.

“Trans people are less than 1% of the population. Trans people are not the reason you can't afford eggs, or pay your rent. I think you might be focused on the wrong 1%.” - Bristol Central MP @carladenyer.bsky.social quotes Laverne Cox at trans rights demo in Bristol today.

Solving the housing crisis seems simple, we've just had 50yrs of politicians choosing not to. Give councils grants to build family homes for low rents = suppress rent inflation, stimulate the economy, support stable jobs, & create a vast wealth of socially owned revenue generating assets.

"Farage is just like the most successful political party in European electoral history" isn't a winning message! He can claim to be the real Tory, push aside Kemi etc as the crazy ones, and it feeds directly to his "back to tradition" aesthetic. Labour is actively trying to get Farage as PM!

How are they so bad at this? History has shown repeatedly that if people demand coke, and you offer them diet coke, they won't pick you over the guy offering full fat coke. They will just know that coke is a valid choice and its just a matter of flavour.

New Green Party advert just dropped explaining why you should vote for them. And its a cracker!

Reform are a party run by millionaires serving the billionaires. How do we stop them? One community at a time. Amazing energy in Accrington with local candidate Sohail Asghar.

What an F U to Musk. Would love to have been a fly on the wall when someone told him the result.

Labour’s recent leaflet that boasts about deporting more people than the Tories is gross. Labour is failing to provide safe and legal routes into the UK for asylum seekers, while seemingly revelling in turning people’s lives upside down. My full response > greenparty.org.uk/2025/04/01/l...

The announcement of a new infrastructure project for the South once again highlights successive governments’ disregard for the North | James Jobson @northeastbylines.co.uk

It's an indictment of the UK news media landscape, across the board, that people who voted Reform in 2024 are learning in 2025 what their policy platform was. This wasn't a secret. Farage discussed it in the debates a couple of times.

Labour have let the country down. But there is a credible alternative to the tired old parties - the Green Party. Join us in standing up to Labour's cruel cuts by becoming a member of the Green Party today ⤵️ join.greenparty.org.uk?mtm_campaign...

This story is absolutely horrific. A police raid, armed with tasers, on a Quaker building to arrest people who are meeting to talk about doing non-violent protest against a genocide that this government is directly involved with. We are already sliding down an incredibly slippery slope.

Thames Water was privatised in 1989 with no debt. Since then it’s racked up £14.7 billion in debt at the same time as paying out £10.4 billion to its shareholders. If that's not a scam, I don't know what is! #OurWaterOurWay
