In the new paper on emergent misalignment by OpenAI I'm surprised at how little effort is needed for misalignment/re-alignment. The misaligned models were trained on ~6000 examples in most domains, and in some cases the re-alignment was done with only ~120 examples. openai.com/index/emerge...

Canola oil is great stuff. It has the best omega-3/omega-6 ratio of any neutral-tasting oil, and is mostly monounsaturated fat. It has a high smoke point as well, and is quite cheap. It really earns its status as the third-most produced food oil globally.

There aren't many high-fat fruits, but they make great oil. Make sure to get your daily dose of fruit by eating lots of these: - olive oil - palm oil - coconut oil - avocado oil

Most of the LA protestors are good Waymo-loving people and most of the police are good folks who just want safety and order and not to shoot journalists. We should condemn the worst of each of those groups, but also remember that most in both groups are better than that.

I had Gemini combine benchmarks for recent releases of Gemini 2.5 Pro. The May version improved coding at the expense of other areas, this new release seems to have reversed this. The MRCR version for the newest one seems to be a new harder test so not comparable.

Living on the surface of Mars is hard because of the high radiation, you need a couple meters of stuff between you and the sky to bring it to reasonable levels. But you also want to see the outside! One compromise is to have shielding above but some open space near the horizon.
