Random (well, after seeing the Tiny Chef thing): how strange it is that tv show services are training people to not get attached to tv shows. You’d think there’d be some sort of marketing angle there.

Here is my fruit: Because of social dynamics, how fun a TTRPG isn't that good of a metric of the quality of a game; you can have fun with the right people and *any* game. A better way to determine a game's quality: How consistently does it honor what it promises?

Got the John Carter corebook in the Modiphius moving sale. Pretty sure that's one to collect on the shelf rather than use.

All of the official adventures for my sci-fi thriller #TTRPG 'Those Dark Places' are on sale, and they're compatible with the sequel game 'Pressure'. The Ana-Sin-Emid Report The AMC-222 Report The Gamma-Sigma 12 Report The ED-WARD Report and COSMIC QUEST www.drivethrurpg.com/en/publisher...

We recently had the honour of sponsoring the first ever PoC networking event for people working in the #TTRPG industry in the UK, and were delighted to attend along with our colleagues at Black Armada Games, @rowanrookanddecard.bsky.social , @cubicle7games.bsky.social , @modiphius.bsky.social 1/4

I needed to read this today. Thought someone else might need it too.

Finally dipped back in to City of Heroes. Bits of how it works were gradually surfacing from long-ago memory. Fun stuff to do in odd chunks of time could be useful.

It is the million tiny flies that like light part of the year.

Oh, I’ll do some reading in the hot weather this afternoon, I said. Brain refusing to focus on anything.

🎨👀 COVER REVEAL – The Hooded Man We announced our upcoming roleplaying game of medieval outlaws The Hooded Man back in March, by Graham Rose and illustrated by Brainbug Design – here's the cover! 📍Coming December: bit.ly/442Riai

Note: many humans are terrible at promoting events. We make subconscious assumptions that people know the same things we do. Set aside beliefs about psychic transmission! Think about what a person would need to know. What's happening; when; where; etc. Give enough so they can filter in or out.

Modern folklore: the fairies that put grease on spectacles go by several names. In the West Country they are a tribe of creatures known as gungers, adept at sneaking into homes while humans are distracted. In Yorkshire there is a singular figure, Slartfingers Meg.

Sad news: We are canceling the Tomb Raider RPG project. Due to creative differences we couldn’t get our vision to gel with the licensor’s, so we've chosen to part ways. The stellar team designing this game put their hearts into making this an exciting, dynamic RPG of adventure and exploration. 1/2

Sapphire and Steel spin-off series, just dealing with time messes created by Starfleet personnel.

Different kind of hot day today - heavy, muggy, humid, sweaty. Glad I had the nicer version for going out yesterday.

Worst Keeper ever. 😜

This Saturday on twitch.tv/delevely, it's my 5th year on stream, and we're going to spend it doing some good! As a matter of Pride, we'll be raising money for Immigration Equality, who work to protect and uplift LGBTQ and HIV-positive immigrants and families. Read more at immigrationequality.org

Boardgames night. Among the games, I got to try Knarr. Good game in a very nice package. Viking themed, kind of engine building.
