Yes, it does mean that! Here's the MZ-700 version, loaded onto the MZ-80A and working in glorious colour. I think this means that Numbertron is 'well written' ie. isn't using any hacks with the colour and doing it the proper way, so the 80A-plus-colour-card can handle it too. eaw.app/sharpmz-upgr...

Day 162 - #retrorandom - So who knew the Sharp MZ-80A was once intended to have a colour upgrade? Not me, until 2022 when not only did I find this out, I even got hold of a recreated version of the card that was never released! 1/3

There’s an early rare version of the MZ-80A Owner’s Manual out there which has a page detailing the colour RAM configuration. This page was later removed from the manual.

Epic win for (the original NMOS) 6502 instruction set, 128 bytes of RAM and 4K of ROM!

Hey Donald, that bust of Winston Churchill in your office wants a word.

Appalling that NatWest plans to close its Honiton branch. With Santander due to shut next month, and Lloyds in Seaton closing next March, residents in rural areas are once again being forced to go without. www.midweekherald.co.uk/news/2522729...

time for journalists to report Reform properly; the Trump/Musk break up was inevitable; Welsh government's basic income pilot for care-leavers; your brain is not a computer; country walks make us face reality; Derek Marlowe, cult author of A Dandy in Aspic

Digital ID cards being considered bit.ly/3SApQeR ‘every adult would be required to “show” their card when they took up a new job or rented a property’ so how long before we are ‘required to show’ to a police officer on demand? Or become an offence not to? No thanks.

Trump spent 75 minutes on the phone with Putin. He praised him, talked about teaming up on Iran, but apparently never called on him to stop targeting innocent civilians. What a disgraceful way to treat our allies and the brave people of Ukraine.

Cancer Research UK today published a report which highlights changes in cancer survival rates over the last 50 years. Many headlines (like this one from the Guardian) have chosen to report the ‘doubling of cancer survival rates’ since the 1970s. But that's misleading... 1/18

Brexit is slowly being unravelled because it doesn't work and never will work.

The tea in question was supposed to have been grown in Scotland, not Yorkshire.

Before Kerr, you'd watch the terrifying Fanny Craddock showing you how to prepare a dinner party for you husband's boss and his wife (with the unspoken implication that your husband might lose his job if you didn't get it right).

I think any members of the public who are aware of the “plan” to boost growth and reform x, y and z with AI are likely to also be aware that this is much the same as saying “and then a kindly wizard will fix it”.

The BBC can no longer afford to publish market data on its website, but it can afford to live cover "interesting" sport! Huzzah! (To be fair, this is probably a lot more interesting to watch than the Monaco GP.) www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cd...

A very enjoyable long weekend in Wales, doing the run from Chepstow to Aberdyfi on Saturday in the company of 253 other Caterham 7s. Here's Gnu on the Black Mountain Road in the company of two new German friends. #Wales #Caterham7 #Taffia #FishAndChipRun

This sounds very like the practice among Conservative councils of spending a fortune on consultants because you don't trust your own officers for ideological reasons.

Ahh, June 1987. I remember it well. From pure optimism to recriminations in just 4 days for the SDP. Amazing what you find in the attic when you're clearing out 30+ years of stuff... #Politics #LibDems #SDP #LiberalParty

I fear that Labour is falling into the same trap that the Tories did – leaning on hostile rhetoric around immigration and damaging our public services and our economy in the process. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

‘Cheap foreign labour’ – this is how Keir Starmer denigrates the migrant carers looking after your loved ones

"Conservatives have created this hostile environment.. we should welcome people wherever they come from.. the UK is better because of immigration.. Lab has been a bit scared of making the positive case for immigration.. we need to turn that round" The most duplicitous politician in my lifetime

In four years' time Labour will come knocking on our doors to tell us that we simply MUST vote for them to keep Reform out, and voting for anyone else is a betrayal.

This is so stupid. Money from international students already subsidises the education of home students. That's how underfunded universities have been able to keep going.

Today's performative clampdown on migrants will gut our care homes of desperately needed staff. We are *already* short of over 150k carers. Banning foreign care workers will only exacerbate this - increasing suffering of society's most vulnerable members & pressures on the NHS. It's madness.

When will the UK stop indulging in these acts of wanton self-harm? The ⁦BBC World Service is the most cost effective bulwark against the forces of tyranny & illiberalism assailing us from so many directions. It should be cherished & maintained. www.theguardian.com/media/2025/m...

Well I’m out. I tried. But I’m not having this.

Labour axing care worker visa will put services at risk, say unions and care leaders

Predictable but still very depressing. Labour are very much in love with AI and won’t listen to the counter-arguments.

“The danger for the government is that it fails to control the things voters worry about – small boats and asylum hotels – while clamping down on the kinds of immigration that are both popular and beneficial.” Spot on by @rachelsylvester.bsky.social observer.co.uk/news/politic...
