Well done Sunderland and the ownership/senior staff. Nobody has added more value to a team than them in the last few years. An unusual and brave model of recruitment paying off.

Get in

How many players in this year's EFL Championship do you think will go on to play regular Premier League football? Even including the promoted teams I'm not sure the number is that high.

McTominay, does what he does extremely well.

Who is your Premier League bargain signing of 2024/25? Someone purchased relatively cheaply (under £10m) who has regularly contributed on the pitch?

For where I would want Everton to go stylistically, this guy would be high on my list of signings. Whether he would choose to go there is another matter.

Garnacho is a player I don't get. Every time I watch him, he is very dangerous, his data is excellent across multiple seasons. He looks to me as if he is on his way to being a top level attacker capable of 20+ goal contributions a season. But he doesn't seem to be that liked or rated by fans.

If you commit to a formation that requires specialists but don't have many/any players who can play those roles you will struggle.

Hate it when people ask managers about next season/signings/pushing on within 30 minutes of a trophy win.

Ange ftw

Yessss, go on spurs

Low energy, low quality. I feel if Man Utd score they will win

A goal befitting the quality of the game

Peak punditry there. "It's about who wants it more" "But can you want it too much?" Just start broadcasting 30 seconds before kick off and save people having to fill time.

All timer of a KDB miss

I'm not sure what the emergence of Promise David and Moise Bombito says about Canadian football. Positive view is they are producing talented players, negative is around talent id within the nation. Are there other talents who would not have gone to Malta and Estonia and would never make it?

Genuinely wonder what part of life these people even enjoy. When you're dreaming of automating your child's birthday parties and vacation itineraries so you don't have to bother, what even are you living for? It's giving Patrick Bateman - there's an idea of a Ben Thompson, but he is simply not there

Well done Everton. That send off was great.

All my childhood heroes are now old men. But what a collection of players they were.

Brilliant for Palace. Pleased for them and their fans. Not liking all this erasure of the Zenith Data Systems cup from history though.

Doku is unbelievably well balanced, amazing 1v1 skills and so little actual output.

100% backing Crystal Palace today. The staff there over the last decade have transformed that club with logical, decent value signings. A model for lower budget PL teams.

Man Utd and Tottenham both finishing below 40 points. Second in the league being under 70 points. 25 points (max) being enough to stay up. Champions League places for almost a third of the teams. Weirdest season in memory.

Yamal goal....wow. I never thought I'd see another Messi but one has already arrived.

Really interesting. The athletic requirements to become a top level footballer have increased significantly. It has certainly changed in scouting over the last few years.

Interesting how some clubs are now ditching the Director of Football role/title. As the job became more high profile the purpose of it (long term continuity) was lost and it became as judged on first team results as Head Coach.

As Everton prepare to leave Goodison to move to a magnificent new waterfront stadium I want to thank all those at KEIOC for helping keep the club's motto alive when a diminished future was all that was on offer

Accidentally watched Starmer's press conference. Flanked by flags spouting anti migrant vitriol. Dark times.

25 games at 0.96 points per game for Manchester United under their new manager.

Manchester United and Tottenham with £100m of eggs in one basket. The one that loses the final....

mrktinsights.com/index.php/20... I don't like to say "called it" regarding Kompany but so much about being an elite manager (not coach) is your ability to lead a group and let them play the style of football that wins games.

Just ignoring technical areas now are we?

Love the way Barca play football. I'd rather them reach the final as a neutral, for the spectacle.

What a save
