crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their consultants

NEW YORK! MAKE SURE TO RANK ROGER!

I like pavement but I don’t know if I could explain them without making the jerkoff motion

It's a new camp classic + if you can't see that, I feel sad for you.

Easily Uma Thurman's most engaging performance. Plus it's awesome when Robin crashes his bike through a wall and it explodes in the shape of the Robin symbol.

Flaming June, Frederic Leighton, 1895.

Dunning-Kruger? I hardly know her!

We would do well to lean into the inherent silliness of the genre. Like a 2 to 1 ratio of serious to goofy stories is perfect. Side-note: I love that they shackled Hulk's mouth here. Hulk speak too much truth for puny appellate court!

Eight" is Enough #NaughtyASitcom

This morning I heard “Shock the Monkey.” When the DJ came back, he said, “The only way I would ever shock a monkey is by giving it two bananas when it only expected one,” and I said HELL yeah

Happy Birthday to the only King we recognize on this day🎂

i have mad respect for artists who can draw cars

I'd watch a live action Deadman done in an anthology horror style

I know I'm kind of a broken record with this right now, but: For all the horror, the political situation looks SIGNIFICANTLY better right now than it did a week or even a few days ago. Military occupation of blue cities is a travesty but it was a travesty we already EXPECTED of these fascists.

Nothing the Right say should ever be assumed in good faith but there's something truly revealing in their claims that protesters are paid to be there. A whole half of the political spectrum that can't fathom the notion of solidarity.

Four Waymo jags, one after the other, covered in graffiti and with their sensors disabled. A fifth decides its had enough and tries to leave only to be thwarted by someone just kinda standing there. I do love this city.

Peaceful protest

It's unquestionably true that the 2003 Hulk movie would have been a ginormous hit if only Eric Bana had been willing to legally change his name to Bruce

One striking thing from this (excellent) report on a DOGE employee's use of AI is that everything about it is antithetical to sound software engineering practices—an engineer hurriedly deploying an unfamiliar tool to meet an impossible deadline for a problem domain in which he has no expertise.
